The plastic bookends really take almost no additional shelf or table space. It looks neat and modern but there is not a lot of character to them either. My biggest issue with these bookends is that I had them for two days and one of my bookends is already broken due to my heavier textbooks leaning on it. They really need more girth and tougher material to stand up to heavy books. The bookends arrived in a mailing bag rather than a box, which doesn’t make sense for the shape of the product. One was already broken upon arrival. That didn’t bother me much because I only needed one, the shelf of books I was using it for had a large sturdy item on one side. There isn’t anything I don’t like about these bookends, except maybe if a little smaller size, like 5” tall. I like that they are transparent. Most of the time I don’t even see them and they don’t compete with other decor items sitting on the same shelf and not worrying about matching everything. They are sturdy but light weight. I have these in a lot of places in the house -- I don't have bookcases, but have tons of books and need to keep organized. These bookends are very unobtrusive and so I have groups of books wherever I have a space for them and I love the way they "disappear" into the surroundings.

    • !!FLIMSY & NOT 90 DEGREE ANGLE!!

Extremely disappointed. Both of the bookends were not at a 90 degree angle, therefore my blurays were not standing up straight on either end. Not to mention they were extremely flismy. Do not recommend whatsoever. Wish I could get my money back and buy elsewhere.
