  • All those friends that have no boundaries? Turtles, every single one of them.
This is a cute idea for a coloring book. It is very much a parody on other under the sea story lines (I'm looking at you mermaid movie from popular children's film company) but it is still appropriate for younger people and adults alike. I was slightly disappointed by this fact. I was expecting was really cutting adult humor, but this book does not have it. What it does have is pages filled with dad-jokes about living under the sea. This is an amusing coloring book, but it is very appropriate for all ages, and it isn't a very thick book. If you enjoy adult coloring books with a lot of detail, this probably isn't for you. I snatched this up when the price dropped, but I probably wouldn't be re-purchasing anytime soon. ... show more

  • too short!
The pictures were great, although not necessarily my preferred art style. The captions were amusing, though, and the scenarios interesting. I appreciated the effort to make all of the merfolk not look the same, and most important, I appreciated that these were not the tiny, overly-intricate designs in most adult coloring books. These pages were fun to color, I only wish the book had been longer, esp for the price. ... show more

  • Cute and realxed
This book is cute. It is not super detailed so there is going to be a lot of work left to the person drawing when it comes to shading, scene and accent. On one side you can really make the image yours. On the other, it is a bit of a challenge and you have to prethink what you are trying to accomplish with the end result. The characters are warm and family friendly. No sex kittens there. Some of it is very goofy, some is silly, some is just meh. The pages are only printed on one side so you can go at this with several types of material. The paper is reasonably sturdy but I'd double check marker. ... show more

  • Absolutely amazing
I love this coloring book-- first, it's hilarious. Second, it's different than those mindfulness coloring books with all of the patterns--those things just stress me out! This ones allows for creativity with its use of negative space--i'm able to shade, color, draw, and do whatever else I might want to in the space provided. Definitely nice for anyone that doesn't like the idea of coloring in tedious and intricate patterns but still wants to get some peace of mind while coloring some rad pictures. ... show more

  • Awesome coloring book
Awesome coloring book. Bought it for a friend (adult) who loves mermaids. Funny and cute and cheeky and way cooler than the more common, traditional, princess-y depictions of mermaids. The jokes are meant to be understood by grown women, but I would recommend this for a teen, too (if she still likes to color, and isn't ashamed--WHICH SHE SHOULDN'T BE, BECAUSE COLORING IS FUN). Enjoy! ... show more

  • Funny, clever adult coloring book
Haha, this was a gift for a mermaid loving friend for her birthday. Everyone got a kick out of it at the party and she was happy to receive it. It's sarcastic and funny and a great gift for a friend with a sense of humor and love of the sea.

  • Exceeds my expectations!
This coloring book is SO COOL. It's so cool, that you don't even realize how inclusive it is at first glance. The merpeople have varied body shapes and facial features and hair types, and one of the mermen even has a little brace on its tail fin. Very subtle but lovely diversity, showing a nice range of "normal" merpeople. Love this book for my kids. ... show more
