    • Nice Shoe & Stylish Design But There is NO Arch Support

The style of this shoe was what first caught my eye, and now that I have them they are certainly lightweight, extremely flexible and seem to have a durable sole. I think the manufacturer was right on with their comment that they look a little nicer than sneakers but you're not losing the comfort that you want in a sneaker. In other words, you can get by wearing them to events that demand a dressier occasion than wearing a pair of tennis shoes. The shoes are comfortable with the insoles that come with them; however, there is really no arch support at all so if you're in need of shoes that provide pretty good arch support these may not be for you. For me, I already own a pair of orthotic insoles designed specifically for my feet, so I simply remove the existing insoles and replace them with my own, thereby alleviating this problem. I don't want to discourage anyone from buying these shoes, and of course anyone can buy their own insoles if they so choose. Just be aware that the arch support is not the best. One other small oddity to point out. The shoe material is so flexible that when I walk the side of the shoes near my ankles tend to buckle and ripple somewhat. In fact there is enough space in that area that I can easily insert three or four of my fingers down in the shoes. I've never seen that before in a shoe and I wouldn't say it's a negative thing as it doesn't affect my overall comfort, but it's just kind of different. Wearing these shoes all day at work, I can attest that they are comfortable and have some breathability. I’m hoping they won’t show wear too badly since the beige is pretty light. Becoming more and more popular, these shoes are comfortable enough to wear in warm weather with shorts, dressy enough with pants and a jacket, and elegant enough for even a formal evening without compromising on weight and comfort. The material is aerated and very thin which means your feet can "breathe" the insole is well cushioned and these work well for wearing for long periods. They look way more expensive than their under $50 price tag. Size as tested was a 13 which I would say ran true to size, wear with no shows for that day on vacation or with Jeans for a stylish look. The media could not be loaded. I ordered these because they look like suede, and they are a remarkable suede-like canvas that makes them resilient and flexible as the photos demonstrate. While they do closely resemble suede dress shoes, underneath that dressy appearance these shoes are constructed like a pair of Converse basketball shoes. They kept my feet comfortable through an entire day at work, with lots of walking. I'd say I walked a mile and these new shoes fit me perfectly, they didn't even need to be "broken-in." The color is a conservative beige, as pictured, and they are a nice all around shoe that compares favorably with brands like Sperry. I have a couple of Sperry brand sized 10 1/2 sneakers that fit me well, and these dress shoes fit just as well and are every bit as comfortable. I went ahead and added a photo of these nice dress shoes next to my trusty old blue Sperry sneakers, to show that these dress shoes are pretty much the exact same size. They both feel great, and are built for walking. But the blue sneakers might be inappropriate for more formal situations, such as going out to dinner. I'm wearing the shoes as I'm writing this review, and let me tell you what—they are so comfortable! These are casual dress shoes that would look great with jeans or for business casual. They fit perfectly. Pros: - Extremely light - Breathable - Cushioned rubber sole - Flexible, so I used them as "slip-ons" Cons: - Slight imperfection where the stitching is not aligned with the sole at the right heel - Durability? These shoes will be the ones I pack for our next overseas adventure. On my scale they come in at about 16 ounces for the pair, while my veteran leather loafers are just under 2 pounds. With the stress of meeting airline luggage weight restrictions, I'll take that one pound savings. And, these lightweight oxfords are a clean style update over the old leather slip-ons. They're very comfortable with decent arch support and reasonable heal padding. On me they are slightly too narrow at the toe, with just a little pressure on the outside of each big toe, next pair I might go up a half-size. They have elasticity to the main body so I think even if a bit snug now, they will break in well. The elasticity allows us lazy guys to use these as slip-ons. Before travel I plan to give them a coat or two of waterproofing spray. ... show more

Overall a nice shoe. They're comfortable, light weight, appear to be fairly well made, and look nice. As with a lot of these types of shoe, there isn't much in terms of arch support but you can always purchase insoles which are probably a better option since you can get them according to what you need. ... show more
