This is not my normal style of shoe (they're too shiny for my taste!) but I thought I'd try them anyway for something different. They fit well and are actually fairly comfortable, even though they felt a bit thin. If you are into shiny Chukkas, I can recommend these.

These Chukka boots were received in my husband's normal size and fit him comfortably. They are very easy for him to walk in. The soles feel cushioned like a good pair of sneakers. A major plus is that the entire upper of these boots is real leather, not the imitation stuff, so this comfy footwear should last a long time. The only negative item noted is that a small leather loop added to the back of these boots would make them easier to pull on without squashing down the back of each one. This is my only reason for deducting one star from 5 to 4. However, these Chukka boots are still highly recommended because the simple use of a shoe horn would easily remedy this mild inconvenience. ... show more

The print in the headline description of the shoe says !00% leather. When I saw that I ordered the shoe. Only after and read further down did I see it says synthetic... not sure how they can do that. In any event, its a nice looking shoe and fits well. Synthetic leather is a lot better than it used to be. It also appears to be a decent quality construction and design. These shoes fall somewhere between daily shoes and dress shoes. Since I mostly have sneakers I'll probably use them as the latter, but I wanted to test them in daily use. As expected, the exterior of these shoes are quite stiff. Surprisingly, the inside is actually quite comfortable! They're definitely not padded by any means, but they didn't make my feet hurt after a walk either. The laces are a good length, with just enough to tie the shoes but not so much that you're left trying to manage the extra length. The only real issue you might run into is trying to keep these spotless. Since I'm gonna save them for a "nice" event, I cleaned them after wearing them a few times, but the white around the bottom is very easy to clean with cleaning wipes. If you're looking for shoes that fall somewhere between casual and classy then I'd say these are a pretty solid option! ... show more

I had a pair of chukka boots in the 90s that I LOVED and it seems they have made a resurgence since I've seen them around again - when I spotted these, I had to order them. I am very pleased with this pair!! They are very comfortable...I love the simple design, true to the basic chukka with a mid rise and stable bottom. The inside is suede or a suede like fabric so it feels great and supportive on your foot. They have a dress shoe lace which works for the design - not my favorite since it's waxed and that has a hard time staying tied...but it suits the shoe perfectly so it's a minor nitpick. I love the whitewall bottom - gives it a nice "part dressy/part casual" look so you could wear it with dress pants, jeans or shorts. They are made well and it shows. They look something like Cole Haan's version of the chukka as far as design and quality, but these are much cheaper in price. Overall, these are a great all purpose shoe to have in your closet...great looking, great price...just overall GREAT. I would recommend them!! ... show more

These are very comfortable and well made. This is a perfect way to dress up an outfit while still keeping it casual. The materials seem of high quality and the shoes do smell of leather. They are on the shiny side which is what I wanted as most of my other dress shoes are a matte color.
