I'm always searching for a good alternative to my normal VANS. I've had my fair share of random store brand slip-ons and knock offs. This pair rates pretty good in my book. I've been wearing these daily for a couple of months now and they seem to be holding up well. I don't take care of my shoes or do anything other than just wear them to wear them. They have scuffs and normal wear but the actual construction is fine. They do feel pretty light compared to a more name brand shoe but it hasn't translated into less comfort. They haven't ripped or torn apart at the seams. The glue hasn't come off and the insole is fine. Not the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, but not the bad at all. These are cheap and look pretty good. They probably won't last as long as some other more expensive shoes but so far they are completely adequate for my day to day. If you've owned a pair of Target goodthreads shoes this has a similar firmness on the heel.. kinda rolls.. but the sole feels more dense and durable... nothing like vans stiffness. VANS BEING THE COMPARISON this is a little more wider and comfortable while being a little less stiff a wooden clog feeling. For normal use not skating I love it. Here about to order a backup and wrote a review. A- the shoelaces are completely in appropriate for this application. Great inexpensive slip-on shoe. Very comfortable and good value for the money. I recently had hip surgery and needed something easy on and off with non skid sole. This was great. in fact i'll probably buy another pair for boating.
