This robe was a pleasant surprise. It is a lightweight cotton like material. I did not find it sheer at all. My husband was glad it was light weight because it truly envelops you. I bought an XL thinking it might run small and he would wear clothes underneath. It was very roomy, almost too big, and touches the groundbut he is only 5'7 and 137 pounds. It has one set of ties at the top. Because it was so roomy, I sewed a button and made the tie into a loop to fasten it up a little higher and allow the robe to overlap. Hard to find an oversized black robe for bigger people. I’m 6’ 300lbs and have room to spare. Important note is this opens in front like a regular robe but doesn’t have a tie. Get some tattered cloth and make it stand out

I was very pleased with the quality and look. It’s not shiny. I got the largest size (I’m 6’2”, 225ibs) and length is good. It doesn’t drags behind me but does go to the ground. It comes very wrinkled - no surprise. 20 minutes with a steamer and it looks like a cloak should.

I am 5-8, 162 pounds. Purchased the medium and it fits perfectly, about an inch off the ground so it doesn't drag and plenty of room for clothes underneath. The fabric is not thin or cheap feeling. Very happy with the value for price.

Overall for price and style it’s great. Good has some depth, has plenty of length and plenty of room in the chest all the way down. Only downside is that it only has one tie near the neck and that’s not sufficient to keep from the mid section down covered with the robe. It’s not hard to modify and the only way I found using the one provided neck tie to keep it closed is to wrap each string around your neck before tying it. Besides that no issues. ... show more
