I bought this for my 3 year old grandson and am impressed by how comprehensive this collection of camping gear for a small child is. Obviously, I knew from the illustration what was included. But I was still blown away by how much thought went into this. The tent, of course, but the lantern with more than one feature, the "campfire", the compass with a light, magnifying glass, fake bugs, makes this a terrific gift for the target 3 year old audience. My only criticism is that some of the pieces, since they are designed for a small child, need to be sturdier. The tool for examining a bug broke with the second use, as did one of the legs of the tripod. The directions to fold up the tent are difficult to understand, although once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier. Overall a great gift and he really loves it, just wish that some parts didn't break so easily. ... show more

I bought this for my grandchildren and they love it! They enjoy “cooking over the campfire” for Grammy. The tent is sturdy enough for two under 5 to play with gusto. Very easy to set up. Lots of fun outdoorsy critters and activities to entertain for long stretches of time. Would recommend.
