This is an affordable prime choice for Sony APS-C users. Honestly a solid price point for portraits and low-light photography. On the APS-C sensor, this lens provides a 75mm equivalent focal length, ideal for nice subject isolation. Was using this wide open and it produces pleasing bokeh. While it’s not as tack-sharp as higher-end lenses, the image quality is quite good with decent color and contrast. Build quality feels decent despite its budget price. Manual focus may require a little patience on the a6600, especially for moving subjects. However, for stationary subjects or portraits, focus peaking on the a6600 compensates well. The media could not be loaded. Took my new Meike 50 mm out for a little natural light test with my wife as the model. This lens is way too awesome to be this cheap....at least I think so. Folks say the lens is too big, and I'm like how. Great purchase. Perfect for my needs. Auto focus was fastI picture quality was very clear. I did not notiice any weird noises. This is hands down the best lens for the money! The focus is spot on in photo and in video mode. Sharpness, colors and contrast are impressive already wide open. I love the bokeh I can get at f1.8. All images here are unedited, straight of of my camera. It is a light weight and therefore travel friendly. I updated the firmware through the USB-C port on the back. Sometimes reasonably priced products just knock your socks off. This is one of those products. 1.8 aperture and sharp optics throughout frame with excellent autofocus. This Meike lense captures beautiful images and the auto focus works well on my Sony A7iv. The lens is built is good for the price, with a smooth focus ring. The lens is quite sharp in the center.
