The pillowcases are the zipper style in the center, but once you put your favorite pillows in the pillow case it's ike a broken down pillow like your dogs pillow you know. Even though they're shaggy, they're very comfortable with your favorite pillows in it. That's the way I feel when I put mine in now the top cover is also a zipper where you can add your favorite quilt or your weighted blanket? As spring and summer coming about, I felt during the spring and summer. If I choose to use it, it's not going to be overbundant hot but it might feel good with the air conditioning unit on. I .did not add my quilt to the top spread cover yet. However, it's very comfortable silky feeling I really slept great with it. Very comfortable. It just snugs right around you like it's a broken. down blanket that actually snugs and cradles you it's worth every penny A silky smooth it does not tickle you. I see a lot of reviews from people thinking this is a comforter. It is a duvet cover that you slip your blanket into. That being said, if you are cold, this is the duvet cover for you. It is really, really warm and heavy. It is also soooo soft. I haven’t washed it yet, but I, thinking cold water, light cycle. You will need to air dry it, it will not survive a dryer. I love this duvet but the shams didn't last. I washed the duvet and pillow shams together in cold water and they were in the same load in the dryer on the lowest setting. The duvet came out fine (bottom part of the picture) but the shams (top part of the picture) seem to have melted and matted. Now they look like a hunk of wool and aren't soft at all. I'm super disappointed because the duvet is so soft and warm and I love curling up under it, but the shams look so gross that I don't want them on the bed anymore. The duvet is heavy, almost like a weighted blanket, which is really nice. EDIT: Great customer service! I contacted the company to see if I could purchase two new shams because I really do love this duvet. They offered to send me two new shams and also suggested that when washing the set, turn it inside out and do not use heat (not even low heat) when drying to protect the texture. ... show more

I love this blanket. It is very soft on the outer layer and inner. It is thin however you can add an inner blanket to make it ticker. I highly recommend this one.

It took me a while to buy this because I wanted it to be thick, fluffy and durable. I had also puchased a médium weight goose down duvet that I was pla ning to stuff it with in winter. This duvet cover is beautiful and the ehite is bright white. Used It by itself in summer and when winter hit, I placed my down duvet inside and it is the most fluffy, soft, lush bed ever.
