I'll give this ca se a 5 star rating because it is a well-designed and manufactured case that fits the camera well and provides the protection I wanted. The one drawback noted by other reviewers is that the two snaps holding the front cover on are easily un-snapped, making it impossible to take a picture without totally removing the front. I like the case to protect the camera while still leaving it ready to shoot. Thought it was just a little pricey but it is leather so it’s worth it. The top snaps off so if you are not worried about banging the camera against something, you can just take the top piece off and leave the bottom attached to the camera and neck strap. There’s a bolt on the bottom that connects the camera to the bottom piece, and the camera case strap. I connected my regular strap to the camera because I think it’s more secure to do it that way, this was a good purchase and is really the only non-slip in case available that I could find. Fantastic camera case - like the kind that used to come with high end cameras 50 years ago. I love that you can flip the cover to shoot and not remove the camera from the case. I can keep the camera at the ready while hiking, etc. and not worry about knocking it. I use it on a Lumix dmc ZS60, and it fits great. And if you wanna go wild, it comes in some great colors. I chose the dark brown because it reminded me of an old Nikon rangefinder that my parents bought in Japan in the mid-fifties. ... show more

    • Looks good, but almost broke my camera

I bought a new camera this fall and wanted this case to protect my investment (as well as make it look stylish). I have only taken my camera out in this case 3 times. Last weekend I was carrying the camera around my neck when I felt it slipping. Luckily I acted fast and was able to catch it before it fell to the asphalt below. Upon inspection, I discovered that the plastic parts that hold the strap onto the camera had cracked and fallen off. I was taking frequent pictures so the main part of the case was in my bag (much too cumbersome to put on and off every time you want to take a picture). I have used the camera with the case only a few times. It is gently stored and handled and there is no reason that the plastic should have cracked. While it looks beautiful on the camera, I am very disappointed in the function of this case. ... show more

This is a very sturdy case and fits the camera perfect. It allows easy access to the battery and flash card. The only draw back is once you snap off the portion of the case that covers the lens you have to hold it or put in in your bag. I expected this and it works great. I love it!

I like the look of the design, but the overall functionality isn't great. It gives you options to remove the front cover completely which is nice, but if you try and remove the batter or SD card, the lower cover hits the door and you can't access the items. I find myself taking the cover off completely each time I need to charge the battery or pull the SD card. Same issue for the side access panel, there is no access on the cover. ... show more

I have a lot of nostalgia for the leather cases people used to get for rangefinder 35mm cameras. This is a nice replica. I bought a returned, "like new" case. It was significantly cheaper than a new one. It came in a plastic bag but it looks like new. No scuffs, scratches, or other signs of wear. This is not like something you'd expect from Hermes or Louis Vuitton. It's not a work of art but it's well made and looks sturdy. Now I have a camera with an ever ready case.
