MEEDEN 148 PIECE ART SET Huge set and a Great Value! This is an extensive art set and a great value. I purchased this set to see if this will be a good set to give my teen granddaughter who is enrolled in a charter school that focuses on art. She will be needing many supplies. I can’t think of a more economical way to get her started. Because this is such a huge set I will do a list according to each medium to help keep this review as short as possible. Each of the 3 mediums include everything you need to get started. I would consider the supplies to be of student quality. None of the paints have pigment or lightfast information which I would not expect at this price point. I will include my swatch pages and simple paintings I’ve done to test each medium as I work my way through each one. I plan to keep this set for when the grands visit and purchase a new unused set as a Christmas gift for her and her sis to have at home. WOODEN TABLETOP EASEL: I’ve been wanting one of these for a while now and this one is well constructed. There are 4 angle settings and the drawer has 3 divided sections for supplies and a wooden palette that fits in the drawer. Both the painting surface and drawer are each secured with a latch. There is a nice carry handle at one end. ALUMINUM EASEL: This easel is nicely made and easy to set up. I haven’t measured how large a painting it will hold but it goes quite large. The legs slide to give a full adjustable position from sitting to standing. Angle is adjusted by lowering or raising back leg. Easy to clamp and un-clamp to adjust legs and canvas supports. I have another aluminum easel from a top name brand that I don’t like nearly as well as this one. Also comes with a storage bag with a carry strap. COLOR WHEEL: About 8” nice quality. Not quite as much written information as some color wheels I own but will be useful. PLASTIC PALETTE KNIVES: 6 assorted shapes. Typical weight and size for plastic palette knives. Smooth edges no barbs. Nice quality. CANVASES: 2 large 11”x14” stretched canvases, 6 smaller 8”x10” canvas panels. These appear to be pre primed and ready for paint. PLASTIC PALETTE: Nice sturdy bright white 6 ¼”X9” with thumb hole and 10 wells. WATERCOLORS: 100% cotton watercolor paper pad containing 15 - 9”x12” 140lb cold pressed sheets. This is a rather soft off-white paper and damages easily if over worked but still a decent paper. The swatch chart and painting have been done using this paper. Nice 10-piece watercolor brush set: 1” & ¾” Flat Wash, ¾” Oval Wash, #10 & 4 Flat Shader, #6 Filbert, #8, 4, 2 & 0 Rounds. I’m pleasantly surprised by this set. Holds a good amount of water and color and retains shape nicely. No falling hairs either. 24 – 12ml tube set of watercolor paint. Very pretty colors. About half the colors are transparent and the other half semi-opaque. The white is an off white and quite opaque. Good for highlights which is all I ever use white for. I especially love the reds, purples and blues. A decent student set of paints. ACRYLICS: Paper pad for Acrylics containing 15 – 9”x12” 246lb heavy weight sheets. 10 piece Acrylic brush set: 1” & ¾” Flat Wash, #12 & 6 Flat Shader, ¼” Angle Shader, 2/0 Fan, #4 Filbert, #6 & 1 Rounds and #1 Liner. Decent set, no falling hairs. A couple of the flats had uneven edges. I very carefully & barely trimmed the edge straight and they work great. 48 piece 22ml set Acrylic paint. Colors shown in picture with color names. The colors are semi opaque to fully opaque. The paints are smooth and creamy and the colors are nice. OILS: Paper pad for Oil painting containing 15 – 9”x12” 90lb textured off white sheets. 10 piece oil brush set: 1”, #8 & 2 Flats, #8, 6 & 4 Brights, #6 & 2 Filberts, #3 & 0 Rounds. Nice set, no falling hairs. 24 – 12ml set Oil paint. Colors shown in picture with color names. I don’t know much about oil paints but I found them to be smooth, creamy and easy to apply. Nice rich colors. Semi Opaque – Fully Opaque. I am overall very pleased with this set. I apologize that some of the pictures would not load right side up. I tried. :D ... show more

What a fantastic set of art supplies! The wooden table top easel is of high quality and even has a storage drawer. I was amazed when I opened the zipper case to examine the stand up easel, again quality I never expected for such a low price. Best of all are the three sets was paints and brushes for acrylic, watercolor and gouache . Wow, you would pay more for just the nice sets of brushes. You will be sorry if you miss this special price. I will have plenty of supplies for our Michigan winter. ... show more

I have spent a lot on art supplies, not proud of it. This was, hands down, overwhelming! (in a GREAT way!) WHY, YOU ASK, because for the price...I was in shock, still am. I have spent $70 dollars on a crap wood eisel, this Eisel is sturdy and accommodates Massive size for canvas. Then you get this lovely wooden box eisel that is smart in construction. As if that is not enough for the price, you get lovely brush sets for water color, acrylic, and oil. Paints galore for oil, acrylic, and water color 🥴 with unbelievable metallic too. BUT that is not all!! Multiple canvases (black and white), water color paper, utility knife, palettes disposable, plastic, and wood, pencil, eraser, case, palette knives, and a color wheel...My head is spinning! They thought of everything! The way it is packaged, I was ready to sing Happy Birthday to ME! (Obviously, not my B-Day, but YEAH ME!) I feel Blessed! ... show more

I initially gave this review one star because my order was missing a few items. Customer service rep was super prompt and helpful! They unfortuantely could not send me the missing items but provided me a reasonable partial refund, which allowed me to buy some of the missing items. I am happy with this purchase in every way! The packaging was really well done. It was mailed in a large fitted outer mailing box, that contained a pretty interior gift box. Inside the gift box were other fitted boxes that organized all the various items. Totally protected during shipping and also perfect for home storage. The wood easel box is sturdy good quality wood. It contains a small drawer so you can store some supplies in it. The metal easel did not come with instructions, but once I figured out how to set it up properly, it was sturdy and fully adjustable. It has a useful carrying case so you can take it anywhere. The paint brush sets each have their own zippered fabric pouches and each paint set is held in a plastic organizer. I love that everything is well organized and can go back into the gift box when I'm not using it because I have limited storage space. I haven't painted yet, but all the items appear to be good quality to me. This was a Christmas gift to myself, so I can keep myself entertained when it's too cold for outdoor activities this winter. I was blown away when I opened the gift box and saw the quality and quantity of all the supplies, so if you are getting this as a gift for someone I'm sure they will love it! ... show more
