I would have loved this bc the taste is not bitter and not as chalky as some vegan protein powders. They do add hemp and that kills my stomach. Hemp and chia are so painful on my stomach. It is really difficult to find a decent tasting casein/whey free protein powder that also does not include hemp or chia. /cry ... show more

The taste is lacking a bit. That is why I gave it 3 stars. Mixes well with water and some ice. If you have the half circle cubes, about 6 cubes it all you can mix before it gets weirdly slushy. If you have the good pebble ice, 3/4 cup is fine. I mix in a tablespoon of flavor and it helps a lot.

Previous to trying this variety had used Garden of Life chocolate meal replacement and greens variety. Found this variety in a sale and decided to try it. Yum on the silky chocolate taste meter. The protein is impactful as are the nutrients. Comparative to GoL. I'm also using Orgain, too. I like mixing and matching. My goal is to get over sixty grams of protein a day and for me via meat ain't happening. Upon finding options with organic superfood eventually got to this tasty treat. I use browned frozen bananas, this, and a scoop of chia seed in the blender. Maybe a few ice cubes. Sometimes yogurt powder or whole milk. The Orgain cocoa has a lot of protein and is silky smooth chocolate, too. Toss in a scoop of powdered organic peanut butter with chocolate protein powder and banana for the best breakfast protein superfood delight of your life. The protein helps calm the appetite and is good for muscle development. Combine the superfood being the equivalent of eating lots of fruits and veggies and you're on your way to a better body, mind, and life. And, so delicious. Combine this with superfoods from Athletic Greens and due to reasons had to discontinue Amazing Grass, but the point it's like doubling down on the day nutrients recommended. This helps the brain stay happy. The body feels nourished. Great results during physical and blood work at the annual appointment year after year. The crazy side effect, never crave caffeine. Plus, I've got most of my nutrients in a meal, so no worries on did I eat enough of this or that the rest of the day. I do keep other healthy things to snack like Wild Soil almonds. Make amazing high protein Belgium waffles with epic ingredients, and have fun creating quick simple nutritionally impactful tasty meals for people with busy lives, nominal cooking skills, and even RVers who travel a lot. Which is one of the reasons I've researched and created recipes to share on my platform long-term. The world can be healthier easier than ever before and happier because it's so delicious, too. Considering I'm a few years from 60 would say what I'm doing testifies to the efficacy of the products combined with my efforts to lead a mindful life and take care of myself including healthy relationships. I’m giving this 5 stars as it’s not the manufacturer’s fault that it’s not for me. I really wanted to like this as it had a lot of vitamins and minerals in it and other really healthy ingredients in it. The problem is that this product contains maltodextrin which wreaks havoc on people like me with a thyroid disorder (Hashimoto’s). Maltodextrin will mess you up bad. Maltodextrin causes massive inflammation in the gut and body that could trigger an autoimmune response. I actually did like this powder because my hunger stays satiated for awhile and I still had energy, but I wouldn’t say the flavor and texture is all that great. I put 2 scoops into my blender along with some milk, water, ice, and matcha powder but I have to add a splash of coffee creamer to hide the weird taste of the powder. My shakes also get a kind of powdery texture since the powder itself seems pretty thick rather than many protein powders that are a finely milled texture.
