Description

By day, Barbara Gordon is the bookish daughter of the Gotham City Police Commissioner, Jim Gordon. By night, Barbara dons a cape and cowl as Batgirl, committed to justice like her father. While her Utility Belt is equipped with Batarangs and other crime-fighting gadgets, her greatest tools are her brilliant mind and her unwavering determination. Batgirl is an expert martial artist and gymnast, trained in part by Batman, who’s extremely athletic and agile. Her eidetic memory, heightened intelligence, and advanced knowledge of computers makes her a natural leader and skilled crime fighter.

  • Finally . . . The BEST Batgirl Figure
I finally got this figure! I'm extremely pleased with this one. This is the figure that McFarlane SHOULD'VE released in his first Multiverse line, instead of the Jim Lee All Star Batman Batgirl. This Three Jokers Line version of Batgirl is the Classic Batgirl; the Batgirl that was headlining comics with the design showcased here. Barbara Gordon was the first Batgirl, but there was a Batwoman back in the 30's and 40's. Batgirl was Commissioner Gordon's precocious daughter, who wanted to make a difference while still indulging her taste for adventure, and danger. This figure was everything I hoped it would be, and it is the best and most anticipated figure for me, this entire year. I thought her bodysuit would be all black with the yellow, but they did the design from the comics, both old and new, so it's nearly black. It's dark Grey with the black cape and cowl. The sculpt on her face is strong and determined, rather than curious and cheeky, like previous versions brought to us by DC Collectibles, and very much like the first McFarlane figure. Alot of people will be frustrated with her eyes being painted, looking off to the left of her. Personally I feel like this gives her some personality, and it's refreshing. She looks like she's ready to clobber some fool who decided to attack her, just askew of her peripherals, and it makes her look alert, which is perfect for a member of the Bat-family. I was afraid that the cape would be a re-use from the first McFarlane Batgirl, because it was terrible, but it is an all new sculpt. Fortunately the headsculpt and cape make enough of a differentiation from the Jim Lee design. The parts that are re-used are the body sculpt pieces; legs, boots, arms, gloves, and the torso. It's most of the figure, that's being re-used, but the color scheme tones down the similarities enough. All in all it's top notch quality, and I'm glad to have this figure. It's the best overall in sculpt, scale, and poseability. ... show more

  • Best Batgirl to date
For the most part I've avoided Mcfarlane figures since the first Superman & Flash releases, but this one makes me tentatively optimistic to hop back on board. Despite some very minor gripes that are fairly analogous with most of McFarlane’s figures (legs, ankle ball joints, limited head movement)... I love this figure the more I handle it. It does also seem that her eyes are fixed looking to the side a bit, which while stylistically very cool is also very annoying if you just want your figures to look head on. I'm an artist and I use these figures as reference as well as collector's items. So I know how to fudge things if I need to and tend to not get caught up in too many fixed details on figures, so long as they don't hinder movement or disrupt the silhouette too much. But I can definitely see how those things might annoy others. All in all, beautiful figure. Definitely worth every penny. Janky ankles, over-long legs & some hindered movement as can be expected by a lot of Mcfarlane figures... but overall she's still the best Batgirl we've gotten so far imo. ... show more

  • Nice Figure/ Not Exactly Accurate
This is great figure. Let me just state that. My only real complaint is that it is not as accurate to the comic as I would have liked. In the comic, her cape is a lot longer, almost like Batman's. I wish McFarlane would've kept that when creating the figure. I understand it's a design issue and not a Amazon issue. I'm still happy to add it to my collection and look forward to having the other figures come in from the Three Jokers storyline. Just wish they would've done a little more to the cape. I have no complaints about Amazon delivery. It came in very quickly and there was no damages to the figure box itself. ... show more
