We start with 100% premium Arabica coffee beans, carefully harvested from the rich soils and mountainous regions of the foremost coffee-growing areas of the world. Then we expertly roast them in a temperature-controlled environment to bring out the best taste in every cup, every time. Once roasted, the beans are packed into specially designed coffee cans that keep air out and freshness in. For a delicious McCafé at home taste, use one to two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water. To keep the good going, we use only 100% Responsibly Sourced coffee. I love this coffee but will be finding somewhere else to buy it. It's always packaged in a plastic bag for shipping. This time one bag broke and spilled out. It's non-refundable but also can't get it replaced. So I'll be buying it from Wally world now.

The McCafe Premium Roast, Medium Roast Ground Coffee is a good tasting coffee that comes in a canister. The expiration date for the one I received was 9+ months out, so plenty of time to use. This coffee is smooth, not bitter, and it's a good flavored medium roast coffee. I don't think it tastes like the coffee sold in their restaurants though. Maybe one day I will buy just a black coffee from the restaurant, then make one at home to compare. But to me, the one at the restaurant always tastes better so I wonder if the one in the restaurant is a slightly different blend? In any event, I still enjoy this one at home and will continue to purchase. ... show more

Great tasting. Bought different coffees at different times. Don't know when. But remember the ones l bought at various times were all good. Could never complain over coffee. Once coffee did not arrive. But the ones l got in the past were great.

I have always been a coffee drinker but had to give up caffeine because it started causing heart palpitations. I tried several different brands of decaf coffee and couldn't tolerate drinking any of them. Regular McCafe coffee was always my favorite coffee so I tried the decaf version. I can honestly say that I cannot tell any difference in taste between the decaf and regular, it tastes absolutely wonderful. My mornings are now great again! ... show more

There are several methods for removing the caffeine from coffee and this coffee by the best, the Swiss Water Method. Expensive. No chemicals. The best in my book and the best for my stomach.

Pros: Mild flavor, doesn't upset my stomach Cons: Lack of flavor, lack of quality aroma My overall opinion is, this is meh. I'm replacing it stat with another product. To explain, McCafe Light has been my daily grind for over 6 years. Until now, that is. We used up the canisters I bought in 2020 this past Summer (yes, I'd stocked up on this and one other brand, enough to last that long). I expected the older coffee to lose it's flavor over time. It remained a good product, and had such an excellent aroma, taste, smooth flavor, low acid. I get some higher end product for occasional drinking (not my daily, but more for serving guests). It costs a lot more. So, I lack any real desire to use it as a daily coffee product. So, I ordered a canister of McCafe Light, expecting it's usual quality, aroma, and taste. I'm highly disappointed. To the point, I won't buy it again. Since the difference is comparing it to a canister of the same product that's 3 yrs old, McCafe Light 30 oz, same as this one, I feel confident they have lowered their standards for the beans they are using in the last 3 years. To be sure, I served it to others who had enjoyed my last cannister with me, as well, and they had the same feeling. Whatever beans were used for this batch are a far cry lower standard than the ones used in my canisters from 2020. So, with that, I bid adieu to McCafe Light as my daily grind. Time to find another product to replace it. I have gone through this same change when Folgers lowered it's standards (that lead to finding the McCafe Light in the first place). ... show more
