I've always liked the flavor of McDonald's coffee but I thought the cost was extreme. But once I compared it to my usual k-cup coffee brand, which I also get on Amazon, I realized the price was lower and the taste is just as good or better. 12 more pods and a dollar less for McDonald's.

About 85% to 90% of the coffee is consistent in flavor and quality, I have found some pods tasting with lower quality and defective pods, however most are very good.

I like a lot of different unflavored coffees - each unflavored coffee has it's own personality and is best at certain times of the day - but just like coffee at a good truck stop this is good any kind of day. And it's exceptionally good as a winter coffee. I even use it as a base for a cappuccino and just froth and heat up some milk - I love expresso but this is a little softer like I want in the morning. I don't like strong coffees or dark coffees because they taste a little burnt to me but this is better than the breakfast blend (which is really super for breakfast). Is there anything McDonalds can't do? Can we beg for prime rib? Escargot? Their prices have certainly gotten high enough. My son and law bought meals for the 5 of us and discovered that for about $3 more per person we could have gotten a really good prime rib somewhere else, complete with sides and a drink. So, the $3 difference is mainly to go towards the tip. Now that it's post inflation McD's need to bring their prices down. My other favorite things are the coke slushie and vanilla iced coffee all are great drinks - oh and the blue or red slushie also very good. But since I've had to stop driving, when I do go out to eat, I am shocked at the prices, but I do love the extra Mac sauce -so like you - I pay it. The grocery store prices for the coffees have not gone up by a lot. I just bought a case of Starbucks double shot expresso (to be served cold) and it wasn't much higher but for whatever reason there is far less selection than before. But it is still the time for grocers to become millionaires and pay their workers a little better for a while too. ... show more
