We love these. Bought them for my husband’s office and they are great! We did have to mount them on 2X4s that we painted black and then mounted to the studs on the wall, that was the only extra step we had to take to secure them to the wall. The instructions aren’t very explanatory but it doesn’t need a WHOLE lot of explaining. We did make sure the bars were all screwed together before we mounted the bars. We found that was the easiest way to secure them well on the metal pieces before trying to mount it. They are good and wide and will hold books, large items and heavy items, as long as they are secured in the studs or mounted on some sort of solid wood backing. They are perfect for an industrial farmhouse look and the fact that they have 3 brackets holding them (the pipes) it’s very sturdy! We LOVE these and would purchase them again and would recommend if this is the style that you’re aiming for! Good product- great price! Def worth it. ... show more

This came in all one box and it was SO HEAVY, the mailman asked if he could help carry it inside for me :P Also, all the individual pipes were packaged with a LOT of clear shipping tape so I had to spend quite some time cutting through it all with scissors, but really not a big deal. I'm just glad it was packaged well to prevent shipping damage. I did notice (as I also noticed in some people's reviews) that a few of the pipes were pretty rusty on the ends where you screw them in together. I thought this was odd, but a lot of it could just be brushed off with a paper towel. I resorted to describe it as something that added to the weathered "charm" (lol) and so far, after putting it all together and having LOTS of pantry items on it, it's held up wonderfully. It seems beyond stable and the wood is authentic and absolutely beautiful. My boyfriend was floored when he came in and saw that I had put it up by myself in only a couple hours. The directions it comes with are literally 2 pictures, but that's really all you need because it's pretty self explanatory. No crazy hardware or fiddly bits so it makes for a quick job with just a simple power drill. ... show more

This was super easy to assemble. Came with all screws, pipes, both wood pieces and even anchors for drywall. The shelves are a bit more cherry colored than I expected. Overall we’re happy with it and the quality is great. Very sturdy!

The shelf is attractive, I like the look of it. Very industrial and heavy appearance. It does look great and will work for what I need. Due to the size of the unit, I needed to install it over my washer/dryer, works fine but the detergent bottles won't fit well on the shelves. So may not really be a good choice for the laundry room. I will work around it and put the detergent somewhere else. Also the protrusion from the wall is about 12 inches, it seems like it is 9 inches in the product description. This is a really nice shelf and a great value for the price. It was easy to assemble and install. I did it by myself in under an hour (that’s including the time it took me to realize that I mounted it upside down and to correct that). I mounted this on my window for my plants, and I think they will be very happy. The iron has a nice distressed finish to it. I wasn’t expecting this after reading a few reviews, but it came with hardware to stabilize the shelves to the fixture (pictured). There are a lot of reviews that talk about how the shelves aren’t stable or are free floating but this was not the case with the shelves I received. Overall very satisfied. ... show more
