On their own they'd still be slightly too flimsy for me, but I cut the fabric connecting them, and did the same on the set of slats that came with my king bed, and then laid one slat from that set down, then one slat from this set, back and forth all the way down. Even though they're 1/4" different in thickness it doesn't matter, you can't tell. This has made my bed frame way more comfy, and my mattress doesn't sag any more where it used to. I also had to use a saw to get these to fit my bed, but obviously every bed is a different size and I knew I'd have to cut them. Recommended! ... show more

We switched beds and frames and needed these to accommodate a split box spring. We had to trim off 1/2 inch but they were perfect . Nice quality, very sturdy

So far so good. I took my screw gun and put screws into the wood. Did not come with the screws though. We will see how it holds up. But I can say the wood is thicker and more durable then the planks that came with our original bed.
