First - and IMPORTANTLY - the fact that this fades from the inside of the mouth out (as expected because of eating/drinking over time) means that the long wear will "age" best if it is not too far off from your natural tone, which is the case for me with Forever Chestnut. I've tried 3 shades now (previously the wine and coral ones), and while impressed with the staying power, I didn't like the other 2 shades. The coral is very artificial-looking, especially when combined with the opaqueness of this lipstick. The wine is fine if you want really dark - but just know that it's REALLY dark and can look weird when only the outer color is left. Forever Chestnut is a perfect darker pink nude that looks very natural. It's still a LITTLE too dark for me for daily wear, mainly bc I have somewhat pigmented and full lips, but I'm relatively pale. If there's a slightly lighter version of it, I will get that as well. But in the meantime, applying this very lightly and immediately blotting, I feel like I'm finally getting that "my lips but better and fuller" look that's so elusive! The color is just fantastic, especially in indoor light. I think anyone with normal lips would love it and be able to wear it less lightly than I need to. I put it on 24 hours ago, have eaten multiple times, and I can still see just a slight hint left (I like it even better now in its faded form, actually). I would love to find this color in a stain instead of lipstick if they made it! But, for now, it's my favorite color and am definitely stocking up! ... show more

i have worn for years and never have to replace lipstick during the day. even bright Red wont bleed! ..ITS AMAZING! Wash with soap or make up remover if not.. it will be on in the moring! :)

Happy with the color sultry amber on my beige/tan skin. It took a couple tries to get this to work properly. You have to apply the color and let it COMPLETELY dry before adding the balm on top. Usually when I apply it and go to eat, there will be a bit that rubs off near the inside of my lips but that’s normal, and it’s not as noticeable compared to other products I’ve tried. I just fix it up after the meal, and then it lasts all day. But be careful: if you choose a bold color and go to eat, it may be more noticeable when it rubs off. ... show more

This has been my one and only lipstick for years now! It really, truly does last 24 hours, and people are always asking me how I keep my lipstick so fresh all the time, even after a meal. It has a wand for application, which gives good control, and the other side has a moistening balm which you can apply anytime your lips feel dry. I will advise that if you feel you need to refresh your lipstick, it's best to remove it completely and reapply since it doesn't work well to apply over an existing coat. You'll need a makeup remover to take it off at the end of the day, as it does stay put! I give Maybelling 24 my highest recommendation! ... show more

I've been using this Maybelline Super Stay for YEARS! Love it! I love the color Sultry Amber. It's kind of a warm soft red. It's not a notice-me red, but more of a restrained warm red. It doesn't wear quite as long as my favorite neutral--Forever Chestnut. But I find that if I do two coats, I can wear it for about seven hours before I need to reapply. There is no way that this is 24-hour. Maybe if you were in a coma? But it lasts so much longer than regular lipstick that I'm okay with it. My one big complaint is that the gloss section doesn't last as long as the color section, so I always run out of the gloss long before the color. I've got a tiny little spatula so I can dig the gloss out of the tube, but that's so lame. I wish I could buy more of the clear gloss. But there is a gloss made a by a competitor that is very similar so I just buy that instead. ... show more
