This is the 2nd draft stopper I received from the seller. Unfortunately, the 1st draft stopper didn’t fit under my door and kept sliding out from underneath it. The gap below my door is wider than most—due to previously having the door trimmed years ago when carpet was installed. Now that we’ve decided to unearth our beautiful hardwood floors, its left a 1 1/2 inch gap under the doors in our home. I bought this draft stopper mainly to block out noise—since footsteps and talking now seem to echo from the next room. After receiving the 1st product I received an e-mail from Nancy, asking about my satisfaction. She stated that she would gladly send a replacement draft stopper, in a different size, if the one I received didn’t fit. I told her the size of the gap beneath the door and within a week or so, I received the new draft stopper. It fits much better than the 1st one, and also helps to lessen the noises coming from the next room. In no way does this make my room soundproof, but it definitely helps to minimize the intensity of the noises. The only reason I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars is that the product isn’t flawless. By that I mean that some people may be expecting to receive some sleek, flawless design and that isn’t the case. It does the job, and considering how the material is constantly sliding against the floor, it’s stays in place well. It takes a few tries to trim the inner foam piece to fit your door. I definitely suggest cutting the foam little by little to prevent over-cutting. Refit it under your door each time, and make sure to open and close the door before trimming again. I purchased this in brown and the color looks great against our hardwood floors! I especially like how the color blends in and doesn’t look too obvious. Overall, nice product! I purchased the MAXTID Door Draft Stopper with the hope of blocking drafts and reducing my energy bill, especially given that it advertises compatibility for cat doors. However, the product falls short on multiple fronts, making it a disappointing purchase overall. Firstly, the adjustable size seemed like a convenient feature, but I found the range of 32-38 inches to be limiting. It was not a perfect fit for my door, requiring additional adjustments on my part to make it work. This is not what I expect from a product marketed as "adjustable." Secondly, the product claims to be suitable for cat doors, but this was far from my experience. The draft stopper was too bulky around the cat door area, making it difficult for my cat to move in and out freely. The inconvenience caused to my pet is a major downside for me. The material also poses a problem. While it looks decent enough, it doesn't effectively block drafts as promised. I could still feel a considerable amount of cold air seeping through despite installing the MAXTID Door Draft Stopper. This leads me to question the quality of the insulation material used. On top of these issues, the double-sided feature did little to enhance the product's effectiveness. It didn't provide any additional sealing capabilities compared to a single-sided draft stopper I've used before. In conclusion, the MAXTID Door Draft Stopper failed to deliver on its promises. From the subpar material to its inadequate adjustability and problematic compatibility with cat doors, it's not a product I can recommend. I returned this product because it is designed in one piece to cover up to a much wider door than our standard 32 inch width. The extra bulk must be tucked under, but it is very difficult to have a neat, clean finish as I hope the photo helps to show.

I love this product because it helps reduce the noise from my bedroom so I don't hear as much from outside. Not to mention I have birds so not hearing loud squawking when my birds talk to each other helps. It doesn't completely block sound but its really good at it. I've had mine for quite a while now and it's still on the door as if it were brand new. I've never once had to move it back to where it should be and feel it's perfect.
