So I'm using this for my nice electric board which is a little beefy and the head of the board Is a tighter curve than this can handle so I had to get some sheet metal cuters and cut some triangles out of the center to get them to bend around the top and back of the board. Fairly easy to install and they hold in place. These seem to push onto a wider (thicker?) deck as compared to the cheap eBay versions. Also the bendable metal of MaxPro stays in place whereas the one I got from eBay has the metal poking out from the rubber guard as well as the eBay one not having a clean straight cut. The only minor gripe I have about the MaxPro is that on the narrow longboards, it has wrinkle folds which is probably due to the smaller radius nose/tail as compared to a traditional skateboard. Still does its job and doesn't come off. I did read about the MaxPro scraping off some paint when removed, but I was able to adjust the positioning of it when installing and did not notice any damage. However, I would rather save the nose/tail from splitting over keeping a pristine underbody deck graphic. @MaxPro- great product, but please release these in other colors like: a less dark blue, neon green, orange, gray, yellow, purple, etc. ... show more

Bought this guard for a Boosted Board I got from a friend of mine. I am new to skateboarding in general (especially electric skateboarding) and wanted an extra layer of protection on the board from any accidental bumps and dings from my environment. It was very easy to install and it feels like it would be able to help protect against an impact at an increased speed on the board.     • Snug fit, durable, ugly, no wheel bite (75mm orang/Paris trucks/arbor bamboo board)

First off, these fit quite snug. Be careful to center the guard before securing it snugly, because you don't want to have to take these on and off too many times. I was worried they may slip from a missed step, bailing, or even road vibration. Not a problem. They have already saved my board a couple times and barely show any damage. They are fugly though. This is a purely functional item that does the job. If you like going too fast, are always pushing the envelope, or are just starting to learn these are a smart choice. If you are a venice beach hipster with a mini board, then this is not for you. I recently bough a new arbor long board since my 2 year old pushed my last one down a hill only to split the end as it smashed into the curb. So far it's taking a beating like a champ. It is also nice to rest my board's end on concrete without worrying about damaging it. Or picking up my board by tilting it up instead of always having to lift. I am happy to protect my $130 longboard. I will get these for my kid's board as well. ... show more

I got this for my Backfire G2T electric skateboard and it is great to have. I have run into curbs and walls many times and having these on the front and back of the board gives me real peace of mind. They're even nice when you're setting the board down on the road, allowing you to place the guarded end of the board on the ground first and then lowering the rest of the board without worrying about eating away at the wood (unlike regular skateboards you definitely don't want to throw a skateboard down on the ground). Only issue is the first back guard I installed fell off while riding a couple months after purchase and I didn't notice until I got home, so I had to order another pair. I might have not installed it properly, because the second guard hasn't slipped off at all so far. After a lot of use, I can see the metal peaking through the plastic on both sides, so don't plan on these lasting forever. ... show more
