I reviewed strollers for SO long to find one that looked high end but also wasn’t going to break the bank. This was the EASIEST set up/installation! It took me longer to open the box than put together the stroller! It did however take me a minute (and a few times) to figure out how to collapse/open it up, but I guess that will come with time. Sturdy, good quality stroller & car seat. The system is easy to figure out and transfer from car seat to toddler seat/bassinet. The color is gorgeous. I’m excited to use it for my newborn coming soon.

    • Checks All of the Boxes for a Removable Seat Travel System

This stroller checks all of the boxes for a travel system of this tier. It's lightweight, easy to fold, and easy to transition from car to stroller and back (the point of a travel system). As a very tall person, I appreciate the adjustable handle. I worry that the smaller front wheels and wheelbase could be a disadvantage on rougher terrain. The full cover on the toddler seat is a really nice feature, more as a "bug net" than a shade. We owned (but never thought to bring) one for another stroller of ours. The most distinctive things about this stroller arise from the detachable seat. On the plus side: - The stroller ends up very light. The only official weight I could find was 24.5 lb for the frame and regular seat. This is higher than the (theoretical) 20lb limit for TSA (on American Airlines), but is relatively light and probably below the limit without the seat. - The profile of the detachable seat leaves easy access to the storage area. - While built-in seats often have recline features, the independent motion of the seat provides a smoother recline experience. On the downside, - We have travelled with a single stroller where the carseat is placed over the built-in seat. At airports, this gets us to the gate and lets us remove the carseat so our older child can sleep in or use the stroller. - The built-in seat on our other stroller seems like it would comfortably sit an older child. - The detachable seat ends up positioned relatively high. This limits a child's independence. Our older child can literally climb into his seat and buckle himself when the seat has a lower natural position. If this is the style of travel system you're looking for, the Tayla is an excellent option. A final note is that you can (and we did years ago) assemble a travel system from separate pieces (by different vendors). This let us pick the safest seat on the market and the lightest (most TSA friendly) stroller. Buying the system together is simpler (we had to order a special adapter to make it work) but limits you to the advantages (and disadvantages) of a single vendor. ... show more

I love this travel system because it comes with so many modes of transportation, my only qualm is that to connect the car seat to the stroller base, you have to have separate connectors (that come with the system) but those connectors seem a bit wobbly while holding up the car seat. But, nonetheless, the car seat is secured to the base stroller! ... show more

    • Easy way to transport baby

For my first baby I chose a convertible car seat from the very beginning, since they only use the bucket style seat for less than a year. Now with baby #2, I knew I couldn't do the same because now I have another child to hold, and holding baby #1 and baby #2 while getting in and out of the car, particularly in the winter, is not very feasible. I love this set for so many reasons: 1) it's stylish (and as a post partum mom, I can at least make sure what I am using looks nice, because I will look like a mess. 2) 5 modes of use - specially being able to face baby towards me! My other stroller didn't allow me that and it was hard to keep baby's eyes away from the sun when I couldn't turn them around. 3) the material is easy to clean. My babies usually spit up a lot so this is a must. 4) very easy to collapse the stroller and put it away so it doesn't take a lot of space. 5) the car seat is 4-30 lbs - I do believe most car seats for infants max out at a bit less, so you can get a bit more use out of it. Baby #1 was over 8 lbs and has always been in the +89% for weight, which makes me believe I will be able to use this bucket seat for longer if baby #2 is anything like it. The material looks amazing and really high quality. I couldn't recommend it more. ... show more

This is a very versatile car seat/stroller travel system. The 5 modes of use give me various options to tailor my use to given situation -- do I want my child to be looking outwards and explore the surrounding environment, or do I want to constant eye contact? Taking the car seat into and out of the car and stroller is relatively quick and easy. The entire travel system weighs in at about 24 lbs, making it relatively lightweight and easy to transport into and out of the car. While all the functions work out well, it also looks stylish. Overall, this is a somewhat pricey but very functional infant car seat/stroller travel system that I would certainly recommend. ... show more
