Setting ego aside there are times when a roller bag is not enough and carrying extra bags is necessary. Keeping arms and hands free become issues for safety and mobility. This bag is perfect. Great size. It is a backpack built as a suitcase plus with both a comfortable padded side mounted carry handle and hide-zipaway padded back-straps with upper around the chest strap. A very easily accessible, lay flat design with retaining straps main cargo area easily holds (in these days of synthetic fabrics) 3 days clothing (or more) and an extra pair of shoes. A lockable top opening compartment holds cosmetics, toiletries, or documents, laptops or readers in various inner zippered pockets. The bag also has a small front zippered pocket. A heavy nylon stap in the back allows the users to easily slide the bag securely over a roller handle. Stitching appears strong and even with no apparent loose threads. General construction is excellent. The heavy duty nylon is water resistant. For a woman I chose the dark purple color which is nice. We’ll see how the actual use works to the design function. When I tell you this is the best travel purchase I’ve ever made I’m not joking. It had everything you could think of for traveling, you can fit so much in it and it’s so easy to lug around and store! The quality is great actually and the cream color it’s super pretty! Dosent get dirty too quickly and easy to clean if it dose! I haven’t had any issues with the zippers falling undone yet and hoping I don’t bc I love this bag. I have lots of backpacks of various sizes which have worked great for computers, books, food, gear. I got the MATEIN Travel Backpack to use more a small suitcase for clothes, plus laptop. It works great. Fantastic size. I'd forgotten that it was expandable, so it was a very pleasant surprise. The handles, straps, and buckles keep everything nicely secured and compact. The outer pocket works great for my laptop, which I put in a protective sleeve since the pocket isn't padded. I'm loving it so far but have only played with it a lot. The media could not be loaded. First off the amount of things I fit in this bag is unbelievable. I use 2 packing cubes( medium size) I fit 4outfits in them and packed them in the backpack. I still had room in the inside. The front pockets are spacious for things like hand wipes, sanitizer, earbuds, Toiletries etc. There's even a back pocket for a small laptop or IPad. I’ve purchased this bag twice. Once for me and once for my husband. We’ve had these bags for two years now and it’s finally starting to fall apart. We used these bags on many “backpack” trips around the world. We travel a lot, so we wanted something that would fit a lot of items in a bag that wasn’t a roller bag but still be in compliance with carry on standards. If you are a carry on only person, this would be a good fit for you. It fits under the seat in front of you depending on the airline you fly (we fly with delta and many delta partners such as Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, AeroMexico, etc). This bag also fits about 2 weeks of clothes, maybe more if you don’t pack a lot of bulky items such as jeans/jackets/sneakers. Even if you’re going on a weekend trip, this bag is perfect. I felt like it was a very sturdy bag and I pushed it sometimes with sitting on the bag to close the zipper when I over packed it, lol. The pockets were decent, we didn’t really put much in them just spare cords, a laptop, an iPad, and chargers. I’m sure some sandals/flats could fit in the pockets as well but we didn’t use the pockets for that. It also has zippers where you can add a lock on it which is nice (gives you a sense of security while traveling). This bag has been to many parts of Asia, Europe, Central America, and the US. It’s great in any weather. Not once did I question if my belongings in the bag would be fine. Overall, this is a great bag for both men and women because you don’t have to worry about it being too “girly” or too “manly”.
