  • Insanely cheap and easy tune-up!
My GS300 was sputtering a bit and sort of lagging while accelerating. A little online research suggested changing this part, but the Lexus part is crazy expensive. I tried taking the old one out and cleaning it with MAF cleaner spray from a local car store, but it didn't help at all. I ordered this part and have been pleased. Mileage definitely improved, performance is back to normal, and the install took all of 5 minutes. I'd highly recommend. ... show more

  • Works like an OEM Mass Air Flow Sensor for me!
I picked this up for my 2009 Prius. After multiple attempts at cleaning my OEM mass air flow sensor with 235k miles, I decided it was time to just replace mine to try to fix the check engine light and worse than normal fuel mileage. The car was acting up and throwing a CEL for a month or 2. I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and throttle body with the CRC kit you can buy in stores. At first I thought it worked, but ultimately the CEL came back. I tried cleaning the MAF sensor again, CEL again. People say "they never go bad". Well, they do. I gave up on cleaning and just ordered this because of the price and positive reviews. I inspected it upon arrival and saw some slight differences but gave it a shot anyway. Low and behold, no CEL and the car not only runs better, but I gained back the MPG's I had lost once the CEL started popping up. Happy with my purchase, I saved a decent amount of money and my car is running great again! ... show more

  • Giving It a Chance

  • Horrible.
I had check engine light and car kept stalling randomly. Replaced the MAF with this chinese knockoff and check engine light went away. The stalling continued and i spent weeks trying to figure out why it kept stalling. Turns out a bad MAF will cause this. So i got a used OEM sensor from junkyard and fixed my issue. This cheap MAF is not worth it. Get OEM. Wasted months on this issue ... show more

  • Worked As Hoped - 97 Nissan Hardbody Pickup
The sensors didn't look exactly the same as the one I pulled out of my truck and when I first installed it and started the truck, it ran worse with it than without. So I was disappointed at first BUT I found the following procedure in a forum, it was mentioned for Nissans in general and it worked for me (I am not a mechanic and you should not listen to my advice). Directions: --- "check if ECU need to perform “MAF learn” procedure on your engine. This is definitely the case on my Nissan and procedure is very simple to follow (essentially: warm up, stop, disconnect MAF, start the engine and let CEL to get on, re-connect MAF, clean code, let vehicle idle for 15 minutes not touching accelerator). It may be different for another car, but should be possible to find on Chevrolet-specific forums." --- I bought a cheap OBD2 reader to read and clear the fault code. After 14 minutes of terribly rough idling and nearly sputtering out numerous times (I did not touch the accelerator once) it evened out and is running fine now. ... show more

  • No More Code 2004 Yukon XL
At 1st I didn't think it worked because the check eng lamp was still on. But, when I rescanned there was a new code for an O2 sensor. MAF code was gone. Replaced the O2 sensor and the lamp went out. Time will tell if if has any durability. The OEM lasted 260k miles and 20 years. And, No, Im not expecting another 1/4 million miles or 20 more years. Maybe the gas milage will improve to 15mpg? ... show more
