This desk was easy to put together. I did it myself and only needed my husband to help me reposition and flip it once I attached the top portion of the desk. Instructions are simple. It is very sleek and does not make much noise when it is being raised or lowered. I got the 55โ€ and as you can see fits my monitor stand, monitor, 17in laptop and laptop stand along with a few other items. I purchased this when the price dropped to $126 and adore the color I chose. The legs are heavy but of course thatโ€™s to help raise and lower the desk and I am 5โ€™7โ€ and my husband who is 6โ€™3โ€ could also use the desk at its highest point comfortably standing if he wanted to. I use it for my clippers snd I have a exstendung mount for a computer screen that attaches to the back of it so my clients can watch tv or play video games while getting a haircut. I love this so so so much more than I thought I was going to. I just really needed a table or desk to have somewhere to sit my shears and clippers while cutting hair and I didnโ€™t even read the description. I love this desk. It was one of my best purchases Iโ€™ve made. Being at work is a completely different experience and Iโ€™m so glad that I donโ€™t have to be sitting down all day. I feel like I'm chained to my desk, the majority of the week and I have chronic back pain and waking. This desk is a godsend. I can stand up and dance while working. It was pretty easy to put together with two people and a power drill took about an hour, although we put the legs on backwards and had to redo them. It's really sturdy I was amazed maybe because we used the drill? I normally put things together wobbly because it's not really my forte I laid on it.. I thought it came with crash collision, but it does not. I set my old desk on any of it, and it tried to crash into it. But that's not an issue for me. I had to replace my former desk that went out less than a year after purchase. This was a great buy. The price was reasonable! It is so quiet, you can't hear it rising or being lowered. The storage and hook are great perks to the product. Easy assembly. Wood stain is not liquid resistant. It won't leave a lasting stain but does need to be cleaned with a wipe or cleaner to remove residue. However this was the best purchase ever! ... show more

I had a couple of Vari standing desk at different sizes. Compared the Vari, this is a steal. Pro: cost effective; good quality; as quiet as Vari; 4 position memory; Con: assembly took a little longer than Vari, about 1 hour from unpacking to set up completely. This is about twice as long compared to Vari. The most challenging part is to align the desk top with the pre-drilled holes. With two people, I believe this will be much faster. It took about 2 hours to assemble by myself, I suggest getting help from a friend, it looks great and honestly makes my room feel a lot more spacious. Moving it up and down is really cool but kind of unnecessary for me, itโ€™s just fun.
