  • So light and pract
I love the fact it has full zip on both sides. It’s so easy to put on and take off. Most importantly, these pants have kept me dry throughout the whole day trip in a rain.

  • Waterproof, windproof, lightweight and comfortable
Bought these pants with matching jacket for a hiking trip to the mountains and glaciers of Alaska. It was one of the best purchases I made for the trip. Not only did it help keep me dry and warm while hiking but also on the many boat tours into the bay and ocean to see wildlife and whales. Very lightweight which meant it added almost no weight to my backpack so were easy to carry up the mountain. ... show more

  • Returned for more lightweight OR Helium pants
The fit and overall weight did not convince me - uncomfortably slim at the elastic waist, too bulgy everywhere else. I tried both XS and M, typically I am S/M. As loud as all rain pants I tried. The fit was roomy probably to allow ventilation and avoid sweat buildup. Easy to move in, but too bulky for my taste. I don't want to think "wearing rain pants, wearing rain pants" with every step I take. The elastic, even on the M which should definitely fit me (slightly large) felt uncomfortably constricting around my tummy. I am a slim person but have a female tummy, and I hate when clothes push down on the blood vessels there. So I went with the alternative. Upside, these pants probably won't slip. The full zip feature adds weight, ending slightly short of 300g; about twice the weight of the OR Helium, that has only a small zip at the ankle. I would expect this pant to perform better on a Camino-type hike. The extra weight is too much to carry for me on occasional hikes. AFAIK, all breathable pants let rain in (wetout) eventually. Adding liquid silicone onto them may improve their performance again? But in the end, when temperature and humidity are wrong, it's either swelter in trapped perspiration or transmitted rain, but never truly dry. These long zips give you a chance to open the top of your pants, potentially ventilating the top thighs where there's best access to blood vessels, so best chance to cool yourself off and avoid sweats in the first place (all genders). Not sure if this really works as it's on the outsides, not between the thighs, and I returned these pants. ... show more

  • Great pants
Did a 20 mile hike in the pouring rain in these and stayed bone dry. Love how they zip on the sides and can tighten at the bottom. Not super loud or swishy, would high recommend these.

  • Don't hold up in durability
I wanted to love these pants, the full zip up feature is great but the seat of the pants is already showing wear from sitting on different outdoor surfaces while hiking and I've only worn them about 5 times now. My Columbia rain pants (which cost half the price) have lasted me years and don't show any wear on them; they just don't have a full zip so that is why I went with trying these from Marmot. I would not recommend these or buy them again. ... show more

  • Great for Rain
I have used MARMOT jackets and pants for years as they are light and waterproof. These pants are easy to get in and out of because they open on the sides.

  • Just like to pants I've worn all these years
I've worn Marmot Precip pants and jackets for many years on birdwatching expeditions to protect me from the wind and the rain. When my last pair wore out (more than 10 years of use) I ordered these and the next birding trip was dark, windy, cold, and rainy. They worked just like always--not only shedding the weather, but lightweight enough to wear all day, scrambling in and out of the car, stopping for lunch, etc. ... show more

  • Great pants
Love this product, this is my second pair. The first pair lasted 4 years through tuff work outside.
