  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Solid rain jacket at a good price
Color: Dark Azure/Arctic Navy Size: Large
When compared to Columbia, The North Face, and other high end competitors this price was great. Used it for walking around Vancouver, BC with its occasional downpours. It did a great job of using breathable fabric, and I didn’t feel like I would get sweaty just by wearing it. Its rain resistance was good, not great, and I suspect under heavy rains the hood might start getting damp, out in the normal rains we saw that didn’t occur. A good value! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars This was a replacement for my old Marmot Pre-cip rain jacket - love it.
Color: Arctic Navy Size: Large
It is not the best rain jacket, but for the weight and price, it can't be beat. I had my other Marmot pre-cip for over 15 years before the lining started to wear out. I carried it for thousands of miles in my daypack and backpack. I used it for protection against rain and wind as well as my ground cover for lunch breaks. I beat the crap out of this thing but it kept going. You can spend more than twice as much to get a warmer, more water proof jacket, and for some regions, like Mount Ranier, that is a good idea, but this one is a great general purpose rain jacket that sheds water and breathes well. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars JUST LIKE THE LAST JACKET I PURCHASED IN 2016. VERY SAME ONE AND HARD TO FIND
Color: Black Size: X-Large
Unlike all the other rain jackets I looked at, this jacket is just like my old jacket where the rain hood folds under the collar, and does not hang out on my back, Looks so much better and the company sent it very quick in shipping.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great fit!
Color: Foliage/Dark Azure Size: Small
So lightweight! I have taken it on my hikes and I can easily take it off, fold and put away. Well made and the color is so fantastic.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely love this jacket!
Color: Black Size: X-Large
Love this jacket. Use it all year round. Perfect for raining days, perfect to toss over sweatshirt on bike rides to block wind. Also wear it over my winter coat to keep me dry and blocks wind. Depending on temp- you can get warm in this…but for 3 seasons out of the year- it’s my go to!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and versitile
Color: Arctic Navy Size: Medium
I adore this jacket! I've been living car-free for about 5 years now, and in Colorado, that's means biking through sun, rain, wind, snow, hot, cold, and hills. When I first started, that meant buying a vast array of specialty outerwear to throw in my panniers. Poncho, rain pants, fleece pants, leggings, warm jacket, light jacket, wind gloves, rain gloves; really, the works. Size-wise, I am an athletic 5'10", 150lbs or so, and the medium fits me basically perfect. These days, that's all over with. I barely even check the weather anymore, unless it's supposed to be really cold out. If it's actually currently raining when I leave, might wear swim trunks, but otherwise this jacket and some kind of neck wrap like a buff are all I need (plus winter miscellany like gloves and hats). Sometimes heavy rain will splash in through the neckline, otherwise, I wouldn't even need the buff. Varying the pit zips and front zipper provides enough ventilation that I don't get sweated out unless I'm climbing a real monster hill. The jacket handles wind, rain, and snow excellently. It can be quite warm but not on it's own, you really need some base layers, that said I don't often find myself needing a real overcoat (especially doing something active like hiking or biking). It's light enough that sun isn't a problem unless it's a bright warm day where you don't need the jacket anyway. I have worn this for trips to the grocery store at 10°F, all the way up to 25 mile circuits in pouring rain, warm, dry (well, everywhere that needs to be dry, anyway ;)) and comfortable the whole time. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great rain jacket - read full review to know how to keep it that way.
Color: Arctic Navy Size: X-Large
I feel like the fit is good. I got an XL to put over top of layers when it is cold. It's also great for summer rain storms because it is very light and not nearly as hot as others. I never use an umbrella anymore. It sheds water very well with proper care. I made the mistake of washing this without educating myself first. You can't use liquid detergent or fabric softener or it loses it's ability to shed rain. I got a detergent and restorer combination but it is not quite as good as new. It lasted 9 years with my neglect. You are supposed to wash it but just do your research to keep it like new. I loved it so much, especially for fishing in the rain, that I just ordered another one. I use mine constantly! Great product! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Prime Try before you Buy Success
Color: Arctic Navy Size: X-Large
This was the first product I tried with the Prime Try before you Buy program. It had amazing success and took the stress out of buying clothing from the internet. The product itself is great and is my first Marmot product. Ecstatic about the buy!
