When I received this item, the timer wouldn't work. I called the customer service number and got their voicemail. I left a message and asked for a return call. They never called me back. I went to their website and followed the troubleshooting steps. It still didn't work. Finally I bought a new battery and it worked. My daughter has a nightly reading assignment of 15 minutes each night, and this nookmark makes it easy for her to track her reading. She is able to set it herself (she just turned 7) and the light is a nice feature if she's not around good lighting. She has really enjoyed using this.

I bought this for my seven-year-old son who loves to read in bed at night. With this booklight, we're able to send him to bed with the instruction to stop reading after ten minutes. He's able to get in his reading and turn out the light when the timer is finished. A neat feature I wasn't aware of when I bought this is a "count up" timer function. He can start the timer in this mode when he starts reading, stop it when he's done, and then start it again the next time he picks up his book. Got this for my daughter who loves to read. The timer is really great so I don’t have to tell her when to stop reading at night before bed anymore. And the light is bight so it helps her not to strain her eyes when she is reading. She love the color and the emojis.
