Purchased this kill switch for my 1974 mercury 20hp motor. This motor has a CDI box and needs an open circuit till you pull the tap and it makes contact and kills the motor. DO NOT USE IF YOU NEED A CLOSED CIRCUIT TO RUN YOUR MOTOR! Other wise works great on my motor.

    • Worked great but a pain to install
I was chasing an ignition problem on my 1989 Tohatsu M70 A2 and found that both the ignition module and the emergency kill switch needed replacement. Tearing down the remote control on the center console to get at the kill switch was a bit of work and getting the old switch out was a chore but the new switch fit in like it was made for it and the color coded wires made the wiring easy.     • It's backwards
The media could not be loaded. First of all was the delivered quickly It only took one day for delivery. It should be easy to wire up it's only two wires. Unfortunately it's backwards.

This switch Does Not work for my boat with a Suzuki 140 4stroke. The switch I need should be Open when the Lanyard is attached (should have continuity between the two lead wires with lanyard attached). Therefore, it should close the circuit when the lanyard is removed. This switch is the opposite. There is no continuity between the lead wires until the lanyard is removed. Description SHOULD state continuity for this switch. Otherwise, switch quality is fine, wires had the male end pieces I need attached. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Obviously no quality control. Now the burden of packaging and driving to the ups store for a $12 item is on me. I would be reluctant of this seller if this is the quality that they sell
