Love the style and pattern of this rug. Goes great with our traditional transitional decor. Low profile works well for our front door. Loved it so much, bought another to match for our back patio door. Quality is good. Rubber backing ensures this rug stays put. Unfortunately our cat loves it too, so not sure how long this rug will last since she thinks it’s her new scratch pad! Regardless, price point is so good, we can buy a replacement if she destroys it. I purchased this kitchen carpet to replace a thicker rug that ended up being a really huge trip hazard. This rug is thinner and as of yet, not a single person has rolled or tripped on it. It's really perfect. Washes up nicely in the washing machine. I hang it dry - but says it can be tumbled on low. Honestly I purchased 1 to just try it and then went back and bought a second for backup. With the rubber like backing - it stays put. Nice, thin profile - no tripping. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Very nice rug with good quality. The colors are bright and cheerful. It's somewhat soft, I mean it's a rug, but not scratchy. It lays nice and flat, stays put very well. The rug is as specified. Colors are hard to compare from a picture but this rug compliments the space and cabinets. It’s washable and the price was terrific!

So far I love everything about this rug from the design, colors, non slip, to finding out they’re a small business in the southern US. The rug wasn’t nutty wrinkled either. One little spot and it flattened within hours. The color of this “multi” is slightly deceiving on the cover pic bc the blue looks more turquoise (which I’d originally wanted). However it does seem to have some teal in it, & coordinates well with our little dining area/entry. The dark gray background color of the rug makes the design pop and look “clean.” ... show more

    • Long time fan of Maples Rugs, just a brand that works for me

I'm a fan of Maples Rugs. US company, great colors and designs. I love that they are rubber backed. I dont need or want thick plush heavy carpeting everywhere. I actually prefer a thin rug, but that comes at the cost of needing a separate backer to keep them in place. I had stumbled upon a Maples Rug several years ago that was large enough to use as an area rug and had good rubber backing. I loved it, and I still have it, but recently I retired it as my mood for something else came up (now I use it outside). I didnt replace it with another Maples, if only because I didnt see the color/pattern I wanted. But I imagine at some point I will. Then there are other areas of the house where I have smaller Maples Rugs- in front of doors, etc. I have probably 6 rugs of assorted sizes from this brand. I just like it, a lot. Yes, they are thin, light, but that rubber backing is where it is at for me. If you need thick, plush, then seek elsewhere. I totally understand. These may not be for everyone because of the lightweight factor. On the plus side, no matter the size, they fold up or roll up easily for storage. When I decided to get a new little rug for my step dad, I immediately set out to look at Maples Rugs. He had a rubber backed rug that was falling apart and no longer had any grip on his ceramic floor. I bought this as a Christmas gift and he began using it immediately. I can toe it a little and it moves, so not sure if it is a matter of the rubber not being as grippy as my others, or it is simply the flooring that it is on. He has it in a cold spot of the house on a slick ceramic floor. Basically in a breezeway between kitchen and heading out to the garage. But it does slide around, and is way better than what he had. One note on vacuuming. I find that using the non beater bar option (like a floor option) is better than the carpet option. These are short knap, and the beater bar could eventually pull up on the fibers. Best to shake out the rugs and then vacuum floor, or just gently go over the rug itself. I got this for my beach house. My last runner was a light color and got so stained. I couldn’t wash it. This time I got dark color and it’s washable. The rubber backing keeps it from sliding around the floor, a huge plus for me. I really like the design. I was iffy at first about ordering this color, but I love it!
