This is a great doll head if you are wanting to practice braiding and learn to do some hair techniques on “relaxed” styled natural hair. The hair can hold hot heat and not burn or melt. You may experience some shedding when it first comes out the box but the hair is really dense so the shedding did not affect to quality of the doll head. I’m a braider and have been braiding for 10+ years I have used many mannequin heads to pratice on and I must say this one hands down is the best one that I have used ! It has a really realistic scalp when I can really see my parts vs some mannequin heads the knots are wayyy to thick and I can’t see what I’m really doing as far as parting it didn’t shed at all …. I really like the doll head. The texture is nice. I haven't had a chance to relax, color or curl yet. Hopefully it will do well since it's 100% human hair. The hair is manageable. It has a course texture which is good for textured hair. I also added some eyelashes & earrings, and made the eyebrows a lil more bolder. I also styled her in a natural 2 strand twist . The reason why it didn't receive 5 stars is because the beards are exposed a little and stick straight up, which makes parting a little more challenging.
