This mannequin head comes with everything you need to get started. Clamp it to most tabletops and your good to go. My daughter is using this to practice different hairstyles/braiding techniques. Comes with a few "extras" like braiding assist tools, comb, binders, pins and clips. You will need scissors if you intend to cut. This is a nice mannequin head with long 28" hair. I love that it comes with an adjustable clamp so you can clamp onto a table or workspace while braiding, cutting, styling, etc. Aside from the mannequin head there I find it to be an added bonus that there was also a metal ended rat tail hair comb, hair elastics, hair clips and hair loop tools included. Even with the hair being synthetic it was surprisingly easy to brush out, and there has been a little to no shedding which makes using this particular mannequin that much better than other hair mannequins I’ve used. The hair is well rooted and very full. Overall, I think this mannequin is best suited for braiding and or haircutting, but not so much heated styles with curling irons with straight irons because of the temperature limit of 150 degrees. ... show more

I like this mannequin head a lot. It has long hair. It’s 28 inches to be exact and the face of the mannequin is nice too. I think she’s got a tan and high cheekbone. A pleasant mannequin face is very important to me. If you are looking at and working with the mannequin everyday, it needs to be aesthetically pleasing. This one looks like an attractive, adult female which is ideal for my specific purposes. The synthetic hair quality is very good and very full which is also very important. For training, braiding, and styling, a full head of hair on the mannequin is an absolute necessity. I am very pleased with the appearance of the mannequin and the quality of the synthetic fiber hair. Who hasn't enjoyed brushing, braiding, putting hair up in ponytails, playing with doll's hair styles and just having fun with all of the hair??? The mannequin head comes with everything you need to secure it to a tabletop or station for working. The hair is synthetic and looks and feels like it, but it's not offputting, though it did make me itch just from handling it.

This is a great manikin, training head, great for braiding hair. I did try to experiment with some heat ,on this manikin head and I would NOT “suggest that heat be used on this head. The hair is fully synthetic and it will burn. This item is exactly as described.

Being a cosmetologist for well over 30 years, I've used my share of mannequin heads over the years. Though this would never equal anything close to one that you would use for true practice, it is perfect for creating fun hairstyles, practicing haircuts, or using as a photo prop for your creations, hats, Etc. The hair is not super soft, but is workable, and it comes with some extra goodies, and a table top base to keep it in place while you work. Recommended! ... show more
