I bought this for my niece for her first birthday nearly 6 weeks ago. Since then, this doll, the bear, bottle, and pacifier have become constant companions. She doesn't actually play with the doll as often compared to other activity-based toys, but it seems to bring her comfort and is always close by. She likes to push the doll in a doll stroller as she practices walking, and she's learned to give the doll its bottle and pacifier (the magnets help a lot!). The doll & accessories travel with her to grandma's overnight once a week, and they recently kept her company on a day trip to a state park. I love that it's completely soft, so she can play and hold the doll (awkwardly sometimes) without bonking her own head. She's starting to figure out how to undress the doll - one arm got out the other day. So I think I will be ordering some corresponding outfits and one of the diapering sets. I imagine that this doll will only become more beloved as my niece grows older. As other learning toys become too easy or baby-ish as she develops past them, this doll will continue to be cherished for several more years into preschool-hood and beyond. With this value for the price, I would gladly buy this doll again or one of the other Wee Baby Stella models as gifts for friends or relatives. ... show more

I was so excited to receive this doll for my baby. Today when I opened it I was SO disappointed to realize it was lavender scented.. why they make children's toys scented is beyond me.. fragrances are hormone disruptors, that is not good for anyone let alone babies. My daughter also has extremely sensitive skin and got irritated right away from playing with the doll she was so excited about. Had I known it was scented I would have purchased a different one. I understand it says "scent" somewhere in the long title of the item, however it's not made well known, it's not in the product details at the top so I believe it can very easily be looked over- people don't expect baby dolls to be scented and covered in chemicals. It is a strong smell and even bothered me. Also the pretend baby doll book that comes with it isn't bonded together so it comes apart. I feel so sad because my baby loved the doll, but I will most likely be returning this item and don't recommend it. ... show more
