Okay I never write reviews but I just have to say this little toy is the best thing I have bought my 17 month old in a long time! From the moment I handed it to him he was in love and carried it around all over the house, cuddling it, dancing with it clapping his hands and kissing it. I hung it on his crib and he begged to be allowed in the crib and has spent the last hour before nap time pulling his tail and and dancing around to the music watching in delight as the squirrel inches into his acorn home. He has no trouble navigating the tail pulling to get the music to come and sim not sure why others mention the squirrel doesn’t go back in because we have had no trouble at all with it.     • First one was great. Second one may be haunted?
I received this item as a gift, and while I think it's meant to be hung from the car seat or crib to play music to calm baby, we use it as part of our bedtime routine to help baby wind down and go to sleep. I don't know how well it would work for an independent toy though. When you pull the squirrel out, the song plays as the squirrel goes back inside the acorn. if the squirrel's progress is stopped - like it's not perfectly lined up with the acorn - the music stops. It's not SUPER hard to get to work, but I think it could be a little frustrating for a baby. It never caused a problem when we used it in the nighttime routine; we'd just give it a little shake and it would start playing again. In fact, we liked it so much that we bought a second to keep at grandma and grandpa's. However, the second one we received had a minor defect...one note in the lullaby is a little flat, resulting a nice lullaby turning into a haunted carnival. It was just one note, and most of the song was still nice so I tried to keep it, but it was really unsettling like 2 hours later I decided we had to return it. There weren't any squirrels left in stock, and honestly I think this is a little expensive for what it is, so I ended up purchasing something else in its place. We do like the one we have though, so it makes a nice gift--just listen to the song before you give it to someone else! ... show more

    • Cute, attention grabbing, and soft
My 3 month old is already loving this soft musical toy. She follows the squirrel as it raises back into its nest and you can play peekaboo with it, too. As she gets older I think this will be a great added play to the lullaby that it plays.

    • cute, but not too durable
Our daughter loves this. I also thought it was really adorable and it totally is. However, Ive had it for a couple months now and the music box inside started to warble and miss a few notes. It started to sound weird and off-key. Its still nice to hang up above her changing table because I still enjoy the look of it, but its a bummer that it no longer plays music like it did when it was first purchased. I doubt we were rough with it, but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... show more

    • Cute but very big
Very well made, but I was surprised of how big it actually was. It’s too big to fit into an infant car seat, or anywhere for that matter, so I don’t really know where I could actually use this. I had to eventually just undo the squirrel from the acorn, and fasten a small ring to the pull string of the squirrel. It’s much better as just a singing pull toy on it’s own. 🤷🏻♀️ ... show more
