I had a set of clippers many years ago, the kind barbers would use. They were bulky and it took a long time to cut my hair. It was hard to maneuver the clippers and cord around my head. I eventually stopped using them and started paying a local place to cut my hair. I recently realized that while the haircuts I was getting were functional, I didn't get the point to paying more than $20 for them with a tip. I went looking for other clippers, and came across the "Mangroomer". While I don't like the name, I found it quick and easy to use. I stood in front of my sink with the "Mangroomer" and a trash can, and started running it over my hair. The next thing I knew, I was done except for having my wife trim the back of my neck. Very quick and easy, and not much more to say than that. As for the battery charge, I cut my hair, then passed it off to my boys, who each cut their hair on the same charge. It's still going. The "Mangroomer" is easy enough to hold for actually cutting your hair. I find it awkward for trimming around my ears, but I have a small trimmer I can use for that and it's not a big deal. Cleaning is easy. You can hold it under the sink and rinse it off. It also comes with a little brush for cleaning. My hair is thick and wavy, so keeping my hair cut short is the best thing for me. I don't care about style, and don't mind walking around like I'm still in Boot Camp. If you're in the same boat, this is a good product for you. I think I bought it for about $25, and it delivers the value I needed. It would have cost me more than $80 in haircuts for myself and all 3 boys, so I've already saved $55 on one round of haircuts. ... show more

lasted about 9 mths now it just surges , granted i got about 2 yrs from the more expensive brand out there so there pretty much even on price to quality ratio for me and i didnt register it for warranty next one i will ; guess i shouldve mentioned i didnt try to contact the seller for replacement, but they did reach out to correct the problem (which im not worried about) but it does show the good customer service they provide ... show more

Was really excited about purchasing this as I wanted a cordless trimmer/cutter, and the design of this seemed to be a winner. Received my unit about a month ago, but my hair wasn't yet ready for a cutting, so I fully charged it - took about 5 1/2 hours to fully charge - and put it back in it's case. Decided the hair was long enough to cut this morning, so took it out to use. BEWARE - this is a total piece of junk. I followed all instructions and started cutting my hair...it worked o.k. for about 2 minutes, then the power light blinked red and the unit shortly stopped operating. A full charge got me a 2 minute use time, and now I am charging it again (sure it will take another 5-6 hours) and am guessing it will run for 2 minutes and again stop. BE SMART - this is junk, and even though the price is good, you can take what this costs and put another $10-15 on top of it and get a Wahl cordless unit that will operate for years on end. I learned a very valuable lesson and will not try to save a few bucks by buying junk, and am going to order a Wahl unit this coming week so I have something I can rely on. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS JUNK! ... show more

This clipper is very unique. First it's light weight and with a proper charge can trim you well. The size of the blade is almost twice the size of a detailer clip from Wahl. This larger size makes it a breeze to cover more surface faster allowing for a better blended fade. The price is affordable compared to other clippers and includes all of the accessories needed to open a barber shop in your own bathroom. I especially like the 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, and 1.5 clip guards. They are study when u place them on blade and don't wiggle or soften up from heat caused by friction. Maintenance of unit is easy just remove the detachable blade from front and clean out small hair off teeth and rotation get pin and apply some Wahl oil to keep it lubed. On the blades I like to spray so excited Andis Cool Care to keep blades sharp and lubed also good for killing germs. In the end I have saved hundreds of dollars on haircuts from barbers who would make me wait hours, make jokes behind my back with other barbers about a nick they gave me or my ears. Avoid yourself the stress of amateur barbers who have nothing better than to crack jokes at your expense and become a Pro yourself. Also they would put people in front of you making you wait longer or charge you more than others and complain about how they get $50 tips from baseball players or famous actors. I have even had the unfortunate event of a barber getting weird on me and rubbing his waist line on my arms. Too many bad experiences that I just took charge and started with my first Wahl Clippers but ended with my go to clippers the Mangroomer. I been using the Mangroomer since June 2018 and never looked back. I started out slowly giving myself a 90 minutes grooming now I can cut myself in less than 40min and clean up everything job done in a hour tops. That the power of Mangroomer giving you dignity back, time back, and a crisp clean cut with awesome fades done by you. This is in powering to take matters in your own hands and learn a new skill with the power of the Mangroomer clipper. Final note had a problem with one previous unit making a wired beeping sounds at start up but still working and I contacted Mangroomer support and they where generous to send me a replacement at no cost with a pack of 50 cleaning cloth.
