The only downfall to these bottles is there are multiple pieces to clean, but most anti colic bottles have this issue. My baby loves the bottles and I think they are adorable! Since using these we have also started using the mam pacifiers...no complaints.

So now my baby is 11 months old - 11 months of continuous using MAM bottles, I can finally draw some of my own conclusions about these bottles. My verdict is not recommend these bottles because of how troublesome and risky these bottles can be. PROs: - cute and very budget friendly compared with other bottles with ventilation - easy to clean as u can take parts apart - standard wide neck bottles - that means u can replace MAM nipples with other wide-neck nipples of other brands, if your babies dont take MAM’s. This saves some money instead of having to buy whole new bottle systems - bottles can fit spectra pumps, yet it takes some effort to put them in and it is not fully close fit. - very high quality plastic that can endure countless times going into my UV drier and sterilizer without being deformed. Also tried boiling-sterilizing and they withstand just fine. Yet, all of the following CONs are the reason i wont choose MAM for my next baby (if that day comes) CONs - Thick plastic material makes it really hard to warm up the bottles, especially with a hungry baby crying for immediate feeding. We have to turn up our bottle warmer to 100 degree Celsius and it still takes some time before the bottles are ready. - Despite being cute and colourful, the very wide shape makes it difficult to store the bottles and find a bowl to warm it up. When we go out we have to bring a wide plastic bowl with us, because the bottles do not fit in most cafe’s cups - when we ask them for hot water to warm up chilled breastmilk. - Easy to take apart parts to clean also means there are soooooo many parts to clean! Each bottle has 6 parts including nipple and cap. I wash on average 15-20 bottles around the clock for both pumping and feeding. You can do the calculations! It also takes tooo much space in our UV sterilizer too. - THE NIPPLES ARE VERY FAST FLOW. The smallest size that comes with this set is size 1 - supposedly being a slow flow. This used to be the smallest size in the US market as well, before MAM releases a size 0 on its own website. Being sorta perfectionist, i looked into size 0 review in the US market and most people were complaining about it. So i looked into MAM products in Euro market, and the products seem to be of higher quality there. Given the positive reviews on size 0 nipples over there, i asked my friend in the UK to buy me size 0 nipples. It was a wise decision. My baby was fine with the very slow flow and she was using size 0 from birth till 3 months old, when she finally overcame her serious baby reflux. Then we thought it was time to move on to nipple size 1 that comes with this set. OMG it was terrible! It chokes my baby up so bad she is now terrified of drinking from the bottles... we had to be in our hunt for a different brand’s nipple that also fits MAM bottle so she can get some nutritions. - THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON WHY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MAM BOTTLE SYSTEM: the well-known ventilation system of MAM bottles actually creates risks of contamination and too much trouble to avoid these risks! The bottom base of MAM bottle can twist open and inside there is this rubber band that are supposed to let the air out as babies suck in the milk. But the first problem is that you have to make sure the base is very tightly twisted and the rubber band is securely and fitly inserted, or the dirty water that u use to warm up the bottles can come inside the bottles! It doesnt stop there. The 2nd problem is that dirty water can still come inside EVEN if you assemble the parts tightly and correctly — this is because when you warm up the bottle, as the temperature rises, the pressure inside the bottle rises, and this very hight pressure can twist open the base on its own despite how tightly you have previously twisted it. Do some research online and you can find so many moms complaining about this. MAM also officially acknowledges this issue and the solution suggested is to take off the bottle cap when heating up and u having to pop the nipple a few times to let the pressure inside out. Now Imagine u and ur partner exhausted in the middle the night, half awake to heat up bottles to feed the baby, how well can you do all those steps to make sure your baby’s milk is not contaminated?! Imagine you have a senior parent who helps u with taking care of the babies. Then your senior parent who is now almost 70 also has to remember to: re-twist the base tightly as she takes the bottle out of the fridge, take off the cap before putting the bottle in the bottle warmer, stand by it to pop the cap to let the air out. How well can your parent also remember and do all these step for each and every bottle she helps out with?! - Unnecessary extra part creates extra risk. I have 1 bottle that the rubber band inside just doesnt fit right inside the base. When i tried to warm up the bottle, milk leaks out and the water in the bottle warmer is all white and milky. Terrified that dirty water got inside the bottle, i had to throw that milk away. And because there are so many parts, it took me some time to analyze and test before concluding that it was the rubber band that was faulty - Even when you do ALL the previous steps mentioned correctly and water does not get inside the bottle, water still lingers around outside the holes and the twisting part of the base. This water will drip out onto the baby clothes when you tilt the bottle to feed the baby. If you baby is extremely hungry and crying, rushing to give her/him the bottle immediately after warming up can risk burning her/him because of the hot water dripping out of the bottle once you tilt the bottle. So another thing i also have to do before u give the bottle to your baby is to tap the base of the bottle multiple times against a piece of cloth to make sure all of that water come off. If you are tired by now of reading my feedback, imagine how tiring it is for you to actually handle the bottle. The bottle line I would say is: it’s really not worth the trouble, and there are so many other options out there. In the end, it is usually nipples that truly matters. Pick a standard wide neck bottle and if your baby doesnt like it, find nipples that fit standard wide neck bottles and give them a try, instead of throwing the bottles a way and start with a whole new system. ... show more

My little one was born with a tongue tie and had a shallow latch on both bottle and the breast. I had one of these bottles that came with one of my registry completion gifts and tried it and she did great with it compared to my other brand bottles. So of course I instantly bought this kit!
