I bought this because, the previous brand I was using, had increased greatly in price. I should have read the size of bottle, prior to purchasing, as it is a much smaller bottle, than I anticipated. It does work well, but , I may go back to using a clarifying shampoo, in the future.

I bought this because I have never washed my brushes (disgusting, i know.) this product had great reviews so i figured i'd try it out. i used a little drop in my brush cleaner machine & they look brand new!

I’ve always used Dawn to clean my brushes. This was very time consuming because it never fully cleaned them on the first nor 2nd and sometimes even a third time. This cleaner worked on the first try. I am a pro makeup artist and I have to clean multiple brushes a week. I typically wash my brushes by hand with Beauty Blender solid soap and the scrubbing pad it comes with. I rinse the brushes with water and then I dip my brushes in 70% IP alcohol to disinfect, then I let them air dry. If I'm in a rush, I use a handheld brush spinner to clean/dry my brushes. I got this brush cleaning machine to see if it could save me time cleaning so many brushes. I just finished washing a few brushes with this little machine and I wasn't too impressed. The instructions say to add water and cleaning solution to the cup, then leave your brush in the cup while it spins. The spin is not fast at all. I was expecting it to be able to adjust speeds but there is only one speed. I tried the long press but nothing happens. My brush looked clean, but I don’t like leaving my brush swirling in dirty water so I have to dump out the dirty water for every brush I wash, which takes more time. I felt like I had to clean it again using my old method to make sure I got a deep clean. I actually preferred to use it without water, just wetting the brush and adding soap, then swirling it in the cup and rinsing. I tried cleaning multiple small-medium brushes at once and it seemed to clean them fine (without water). However this is almost the same as how I've always cleaned my brushes. Overall, I don't feel like this saved a significant amount of time for me to want to change my original method of cleaning brushes. I would say this is fine to use for cleaning multiple brushes at a time, but only without adding water, if you're cautious about germs like me. This might be better for cleaning personal makeup brushes but just be careful of using it to clean brushes that will be touching clients' faces. I would not recommend it for those of us who use makeup brushes for work. ... show more
