The high beam lights fit OK into the socket on a 2007 Chevy Colorado, but the low beam lights did not. Instructions called for tape to be used to secure the lights and the "driver" box. The poor fit was due to the ring that has three tabs on it; they are quite small and don't lock into place snugly. Instructions had to be read with a magnifying glass. For this price, the manufacturer could afford to print the directions out on paper in a decent sized font and fold it into quarters to fit it into the box. Lights ARE bright as advertised, in both daytime and night time. I eventually switched back to standard bulbs as the poor fit with the rings caused them to fall out or lose their position. I was super excited to order, then get, then even more excited to put these in because my current headlights are awful. After getting both on one side in and checking to see if they worked and the difference in brightness I actually had to remove them because after searching alot of videos and info online, I realized I need an additional adapter for the housing because it goes in fine but there's just a ton of extra room and no way to be able to get it to attach firmly. It doesn't click and it would end up just moving freely, falling out, breaking or whatever. If I had known it needed the extra little round piece to hold it in I could've ordered it at the same time which coincidentally the only reason I knew about the little $7 adapter is because searching for info on why, how to get them in without all the play&space, the only thing I was able to find was the little pieces for sale. There are quite a few install videos but most people with any issues didn't have enough space so the exact opposite where they had to go thru different more difficult areas of the car and installs it tighten the screw inside where the bulb sits. None with this issue that I could find. The description says it's simple plug&play nothing else needed, then on the package it said these included a little tool and zipties & double sided tape to basically attach the extra wire& box that has built in so nothings needed in terms of the electrical or whatever else. Mine didn't come with any of that either which not that big of a deal, it's just if it says it's included I think it should be. And they clearly can't include the specific thing I needed because every car is different and these aren't brand, model specific. I do however think they should just mention that you may need an extra piece of rubber or plastic aka adapter for the housing where the bulb should fit securely. Also probably not a big deal and they're cheap enough, but it would have been good to know. Anyway, they are super bright especially compared to what I have now so when I do finally get them in, I'll be really happy because I do alot of night driving like the majority of my driving is at night and I can literally barely see half the time. Now I'm excited all over again to get them in lol. I would recommend ordering them at the same time; in which are specific to your exact car just adapter kit/piece for installing, switching to led. Then if you don't need them you can always return them but you at least will be able to put them in right away and correctly. I even suggest the headlight bulb companies simply say somewhere that it's possible they'll need them. Or for Amazon to have a link with the adapters in the other things to buy with it, as they do suggestions with almost every item anyway. Then ppl would at least consider it and know they're available, that they may be required in order to install correctly. Just something to have the info and products available and customers to know, read it at the time they're ordering these kits. Because it is pretty amazing that they're almost totally universal and such a huge upgrade to safely drive at a great price and virtually no effort or time- knowing you may need another small adapter won't keep someone from purchasing them, but it will urge them to return the kits or give bad reviews since as stated, nothing else is needed. People may not even know the adapters exist for that matter, as noone I asked did, even a few guys who are great with cars. They may think they just aren't really universal or that it's the brand that isn't going to work. It simply doesn't make sense not to have this info& extra items openly available, accompanying the kits. I didn't take off any stars because it's not an issue with the item itself ... show more

There was not enough room for the extra length of the bulb socket I couldn't get the headlight assembly back in. Also the it wouldn't stay in the socket.
