I got this chalkboard to use as a “first day of school” sign for my granddaughter that’s starting preschool. Having bought this same board for my other granddaughter four years ago, I already knew it was exactly what I needed. I was so happy to see they still had this product available as it’s a nice quality and perfect size. Now both girls have their own personalized board for the start of every school year. Good little chalkboards. The sticky covering was a little tough to get off without scratching the sides (instructions said to cut with an exacto knife and I cut off a tiny piece of the wood on accident but it’s not noticeable). At first I thought it was going to be tough to wipe clean but then I used the microfiber washcloth they INCLUDED with it and it worked wonderfully. It also included two magnets. Great purchase! I’m using the two I purchased for my kids chore charts and they are adorable 👍🏼👍🏼. I gave the “sheerness” level 4/5 stars because it’s not as smooth as a slate chalkboard I remember as a kid in school- it’s a little rougher so it doesn’t wipe clean well with a paper towel or your hand. I do really like this chalkboard, but I wish one aspect of the design was changed: There is no center mounting hook; the mounting hooks are arranged in a strange way. When held vertically, there is one mounting hook on each of the top corners; when held horizontally there is another mounting hook on each of the top corners; four mounting hooks total. That means, whichever orientation you hang this in, you will have to put two nails in the wall. And whenever you put two nails in the wall, you need to ensure that they're horizontally aligned and the correct distance from each other. And ensuring that isn't always easy. Other than that, the product looks very nice, the build quality is very good, it was packaged and shipped carefully, it ships with some mounting hardware in a little bag, they even included a little eraser-cloth. Now that I've finally gone through the struggle of mounting it, I'm happy with the product. ... show more

This is such a great value. It’s well made and has a very strong magnetic surface. I use it to hang my Cricut tools and they are held in place perfectly. I left the protective covering on it and the magnetic hooks (purchased from Amazon) still do not slip. This little chalkboard works great and looks great. It writes smoothly with chalkboard pens and wipes off cleanly and the frame dresses it up so it looks great in a home decor. I use it for writing down my kids' job responsibilities so they don't argue about "whose job it is". I even had to wipe out one word and re-write it after completing the whole board and it did fine with that too. It came within 24 hours of ordering it, which was a big surprise! I LOVE this chalkboard. It’s really cute. It comes with hardware if you want to hang, but it’s light enough that you could just hang it with nails too. It comes with a rag to wipe it, which I wasn’t expecting so that was a pleasant surprise. It’s really easy to wipe. I use chalk markers on it. You just need to wet the rag, and then use a dry part of the rag to wipe it the rest of the way. Love it :) ... show more
