Me: “I would really appreciate it if you took the initiative a little more when it comes to chores. We have a nice new house and we need to take care of it, and that involves cleaning regularly.” Husband: “We should make a chore chart.” Me: *is flabbergasted* “What are you, TWELVE?!” Husband: *turns his back and laughs* “I might be!” Check, mate! He had the grace to give input when setting it up, among his suggestions were that we put dates on it instead of just days of the week so he doesn’t get lazy and assume something was done yesterday when per the date it was actually last week. Then he ruined it by proceeding to tell me this was no guarantee that he’d do chores - just more likely that he would realize it’s been a while since something was done. Marriage. For srs tho, love the quality - perfect size for one door of my side-by-side fridge. Markers write well and erase cleanly even with the eraser caps - a HUGE bonus considering other cheap 'dry erase boards' seem to stain, or need a wet paper towel to erase. Just got this so we'll see how it holds up, but it's just what I wanted. I was looking for something I could turn into a chore chart for my kids. It's glossy which is nice. This one's got plenty of spaces which is ideal for our family. And the added markers were a bonus. The ones that came with it work perfectly on the chart. They're on the small side but they get the job done and are magnetic as well. Unlike with other reviewers, my markers work fine on the black. I've written in each color on it just so you can get an idea of how they look. You'll notice that the pink and blue are both rather faint. They were much brighter initially but the lids got left off of those two overnight by one of my little helpers. Oops. ... show more

My husband and I have been looking for an easy solution to who does what chores and elimination of the arguments. This magnetic chart works perfectly. We have it stuck on the fridge and the arguing has stopped. Everyone knows their jobs for the day and it has eliminated the headaches for us parents.

I like the black background with white lines on this magnetic chore chart. It’s easy on the eyes and looks nice on a stainless steel refrigerator. The included pens show up nicely in most of the colors. The kids like that there are a lot of different colors of pens and it motivates them to fill in the chores they have done. What’s nice about having a chart like this is accountability for both myself and the children. I can easily look and see whose chores are done and set up expectations of chores before tv, etc. I can say that this has helped decrease the stress of organizing and making sure chores get done. With everything written out the kids argue less about chores and actually self police each other in getting chores done! ... show more

The day I put it up, I was amazed at how well my kids did their chores. Nobody put up a fight. I didn't believe in these things and for the longest time just tried telling my kids what to do. They are 9, 11, and 12 - so not so little anymore but wow what a difference this thing made. Nobody fought, they all were happy about this structured way of doing things. Wish I got it sooner :) Quality of the board is very good, the markers are not so good but I decided not to deduct points, at this price range I can buy a marker. The black is the only one that writes well so for now everything is in black. And the magnets fell off a few markers as soon as they came out of the box. Great product. Read alot of reviews that said the markers provided didn't work well on the black. I didn't find this to be true. I bought the black and colors show well. This has proved to be a great incentive for my daughter to keep up with tasks and chores!

This was a great size and did what I needed it too. Which was stick to the fridge and be used as a chore chart. Unfortunately, the pens don't show up very well on it so I had to buy a new pack and yet they didn't show up either. I had to go over my letters after they dried. Great for showing young children the beginnings of responsibility and discipline. My 5 year old son LOVES checking the chart daily for new task, completing them and the checking them off on his own is reward in its self! Its perfect size for the refrigerator mames it very convenient, especially since I can put it at a lower level for the shorties in the home! I have to admit I've used it for daily reminders for the adults as well. I'm giving the product 4 stars only for fact that the markers could use some improvement, I had to by a different set of dry erase as the marker set that come with it only the white and pink show up somewhat decent. Almost as if they are dry or running out of ink? Add a better quality of markers and this product would for sure receive 5 stars in my book! ... show more
