this is a reasonably good barrier to the suns rays. it seems to reduce the heat by 10F so far this spring. it's not a super tight fit and not 100% light blocking. The previous brand we bought and will return had a tight fit and scratches the plastic around where the rearview mirror meets the windshield. the silver material in the previous brand transferred silver coating onto the black plastic parts of our new car. I think perhaps some space is needed to prevent the scratches. The silver coating may also be less able to transfer to plastic on this magnelex brand. we are happy this new one does not scratch the car and does a reasonably good job. the magnelex does not have velcro to close the area around the review mirror and you need to point the car's sun visors oddly to keep it from falling - that is okay compared to the scratches with the other brand. good luck! ... show more

I’ve been in market for a car sunshade for quite a while. I’ve had a couple and to be honest, this is probably the safest option I’ve seen. I live in Vegas and the temperatures got HOT. When I’m done from work and get in my car, it feels like I can bake a cake. This sunshade really gets the job done. The look and feel is very good. It fits my car perfectly, for a Lexus ES 330. The installation is pretty simple and the instructions given are pretty straight forward. It is also very easy to remove and store. It is a sun shade. It is also really hot, which is why it was purchased. I have a Ford Escape, and to make the whole thing bearable I have to use the sunshade in addition to cracking the windows. The corners are not stiff at all so it isn't complete coverage like the picture on the listing. I can't say if it is better or worse than other sun shades on the market, but I chose it because previous folding ones with the shiny reflective stuff ended up shedding after a year or so. Fits well. Easy to fold up (once you get the hang of it) and put under the seat. Keeps cabin a lot cooler. Great customer service. I had a stitching issue 3 months after purchasing and they resolved it real easy.

I got the version advertised to fit the Tesla Model 3/Y, for my 2024 Model 3. The shade isn't a perfect fit, but it covers the entire glass if I flip down the sun visors to kind of pin it into place. I will say, I agree with the other reviews about these being a pain to fold back up into shape. I can almost never get it back to a circle no matter how much I try.
