Personally, I find screen covers too finicky for tablets. For those who can relate, this case does everything you would want it to: - very lightweight - provides extra texture/grip - puts the pen in an actually useful place - looks halfway decent (subject to opinion) Having used the Fintie folio-style case, I can assure you this is significantly lighter and easier to handle. Will it protect your screen? No. Will it eventually shift color? Probably. Is it the best case for those who use the scribe as a reader while occasionally taking notes? Most likely. Personally, I would never want to take it off. The slight extra thickness and amount of grip this thing provides while being very lightweight and keeping the PEN securely out of the WAY is invaluable to me. Thanks, Mission. ... show more

I usually get more robust covers for my Kindles, but since I rarely take the Scribe out of the house (I also have an Oasis and Paperwhite) - and when I do, I have a small carrying case I've used for tablets in the past that the Scribe fits into - I prefer this slim case for everyday use. I really like the section for the pen. The pen fits snugly and won't fall out, but it's easy to remove due to the openings in the back to push the pen out. ... show more

Originally bought to decorate my scribe by putting stickers in the back but was so loose that they constantly moved around (didn’t want to stick them on my kindle). Ended up putting them on a piece of card stock and put that in the case to take up the extra room. This is very lightweight and comfortable to hold! A lot of the book style covers for the Scribe make the device heavy and tedious to hold but this simple cover works great! The only thing I wish was that it was every so slightly tighter on the device but otherwise I love it.

This fits snugly, provides a good grippy surface and holds the pen well. I tried two like this and this was obviously the better case. I also tried two folio style and one book style. Folio style isn't suited to this device IMO. A better book style case with pen retention similar to this case would be a good option but I have yet to see one with a decent pen holding design made of real leather (I don't like PU). ... show more
