Looked better in the picture. Mug I received was very faded in spots. I went to Mackenzie Childs website and saw that some are indeed quite faded. Some might prefer that look. I'm keeping the mug as I darkened it with some water based paint. I bought it as a display peace only.

the label stickers are the kind that you have to soak & use 'goo be gone' to remove. for $55 I would think they could upgrade to a sticker that peels off eassily

I don't give it 5 stars because it was made in China, I thought the hand painted pieces were made in the United States and not in China. I thought these pieces were hand painted at Mackenzie-Childs atelier here in the United States, if it's made in China it doesn't justify the price of $55 for a mug
