I know its listed as a Dog blanket but cats (inside and out) love this. It is just the right fluff to be like fur. I think it relaxes pets because it may bring back thoughts of when they were kittens or puppies and had their mom's fur to snuggle up to. Easy to wash and takes very little time in the dryer. Our little, 7 pound maltese is almost seventeen now and still in great condition except she now has three legs. When she isn’t hopping around the condo we pretty much keep her in fluffy soft surroundings. We discovered these little blankets last winter and bought the three pack. We were a little concerned that the waterproofing might affect the softness. It doesn’t. They are so so soft that after a couple months we ordered three more. My kittiens love the softness of this blanket. I put it into a little kitty hammock. They like to snuggle in it and knead with their paws. But it is pretty thin and cheaply made. I am afraid that if I put it through the washing machine that it would completely fall apart. I doubt it is water resistant. It wouldn't do much to protect furniture, if that's what you are buying it for. It serves its purpose for my kittens, and I'm glad it was cheap... you get what you pay for! The dogs knew it was their’s right out of the package. They love it and it is a perfect color for my beach house. It is light weight but warm and cozy. Will buy again when needed.
