Have to admit, I'm kind of a mason jar type of person preferring glass over plastic, BUT, these are pretty functional and easy without risking broken glass. I bought these because we took a multi-day road trip in a sedan using truck stop plastic cups and styrofoam to hold our roadie drinks. The tops would fall off, the cups sweat, and the ice melted quickly. So I decided to see if I could find comparable cups to the gas station kind. These are a perfect replacement! The tops screw on so they dont fall off when you pick them up in the vehicle and they have a rubber gasket to seal the top on. Keep in mind, the straw hole does leak if you tip it way over. I love the 32 oz size so now we can toss empty bottles away after refilling with bottled drinks. They don't really sweat, more of a frost - I've had an iced drink in the cup for about a half hour and the most sweat there is really is just a light frosted coating and no dripping condensation. Not sure yet about how long the ice will stay but it's been about a half hour and the ice cubes are still solid in 70 degree humid weather. I also want to mention, that two cups fit nicely in our sedan's cup holders - someone was really thinking because the tall tapered shape really makes that work. Now we aren't bumbing are cups around while driving. Finally, love the beachy colors and great price for three of them! ... show more

A friend had this glass. It was my birthday. She handed me a new one as a birthday present. I am hooked. They don't sweat. They hold hot or cold drinks. I sent for little brushes to clean out the straws. Great product. Don't drop them. They crack.

I absolutely love these tumblers! I bought 2 sets (total of 6 tumblers) and have been bringing them to work every day for the past 6 months. They help me stay hydrated. My goal is to drink two full tumblers of water during the duration of the work day. CLEANING: They're easy to wash (dishwasher safe on the top rack). You just need to use a pipe cleaner to clean the straws. AESTHETICS: Love the clear plastic. USABILITY: These tumblers fit in my car's cup holders since they're tapered at the bottom and they hold a ridiculous amount of water. It's dual-walled, which adds an extra bit of insulation and prevents condensation from dripping anywhere. The outside of the cup is never wet, even though I fill it with ice every morning. DURABILTY & WATER SEAL: It's made of a durable, clear acrylic. They have not shown much sign of wear through these past 6 months. I did crack one of my bottles by dropping it from a high place onto a stone floor. However, I would expect most plastic things to crack at that height. There is a rubber gasket inside of the lid to prevent water leakage. However, just be sure to check whether you've screwed the lid on correctly. Otherwise, it may leak when tilted. When it's on correctly, it's never leaked. The only place that isn't water-tight is the hole from where you would insert the straw. This has never been an issue for me because I don't hold my drink sideways. However, you would not be able to just throw it into a duffle bag. Sometimes I make cold-brewed iced tea by filling it with ice, water, and a tea bag at night. Then, it's iced tea by morning. I've never used it with hot liquids since it's plastic. ... show more

I bought a set of three in November 2018. It's now August 2020, so almost two years. Overall, I've liked these tumblers. On sale at the time for $15, they seemed like the best deal of only a few available for the size (32 oz). Most travel tumblers were either 20 or 16 oz. I liked that they were clear, so easy to see the contents. They are pretty tall, but taper enough to fit in normal cupholders. Only a couple of our cupboard shelves were tall enough to accommodate them, with the straws lying next to them. They are not totally spillproof. The seal around the perimeter of the lid is good, but the hole for the straw leaves room for liquid to leak if it's tipped far enough – typically if it falls over. That hasn't been a problem with normal jostling and use while driving. The hole is in the center of the lid, which initially seemed inconvenient, but does limit spills. Their ability to keep cold drinks cold is, I guess, fair. My only comparison would be to the foam cups at the convenience store, and I haven't done any timed or side-by-side temperature tests. I don't load drinks up with ice, but I'm also OK if they don't stay 'ice cold.' The biggest problem has been cracked lids (see photo). The tumblers have taken a few drops to hardwood floors without damage, but twice they landed on the lid, and the lid cracked, with pieces shattering off, leaving sharp edges. At that point, the lid is unusable to somewhat dangerous, especially for younger kids (but even adults not paying attention). That's the reason for the 3-star rating. They are not hard to hold. When full or empty they're a little top-heavy, and because they're so tall, they're easy to knock over. The company doesn't sell replacement lids AFAIK (and according to the Q&A). However, based on prices I've seen for replacement lids for other brands of tumblers, a set of three replacement lids would cost as much or more than the current $20 prices of the full tumbler/lid/straw set. That probably makes sense. The raw materials probably cost pennies, and the manufacturing and distribution of just some lids vs whole sets wouldn't be much different. The cups are usable without the lids, of course. The edge isn't totally smooth - it has grooves for the lid to screw onto. But the design of the cup and lid put the grooves on the inside of the cup, just below the top, so you don't feel them much when drinking directly from the cup. But the lids are required for my main use in the gym and car. So the question is, do I buy another set of these - really just to replace the lids... and try to be more careful - or try to find a better design and build? A little hunting shows the 'better' tumblers to be twice to three times the price. I use these daily, and dishwashing cycles mean I need at least two. I'll go with them again.
