  • GREAT color. Buttery smooth. Not toxic, and made in the Pacific Northwest.
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Van Dyke Brown, Cassell Earth
ABOUT THE COLOR: I normally use raw or burnt umber for the same purposes as the Van Dyke. I had to buy this color in order to study with a really good teacher, and she did not lead me astray. Love it. This color is between the two umbers, and reads as more a more neutral color. ABOUT M. GRAHAM OIL PAINT: these folks are getting more and more of my art-supply dollars, as I use their walnut alkyd medium for its quicker dry time with transparent luster; and I use their walnut oil INSTEAD of paint thinner for cleaning my brushes! The oil is non-toxic, with no odor, and conditions brushes as it cleans between colors. (As with any paint, I use soap and water at the end before putting brushes away.) M. GRAHAM OIL PAINT vs ACRYLIC: Acrylic dries darker than it goes on. <-- Lather, rinse and repeat this sentence, and let it sink in deeply! Acrylic's darker-dry-color makes it impossible to rework skin tones. What you see is never what you get with wet acrylic paint! And it KEEPS on darkening, year after year. With oil, what you see is what you get. BRAVO M. GRAHM for going the extra mile and helping painters making oil paint non-toxic perfection!!!! Long live oil paint, and thank you M. Graham!!!!! ... show more

  • Good, rich color, creamy paint. I love the rich pigments and buttery texture.
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Raw Umber
I like M. GRAHAM paints - they are all thick and creamy and the color is rich. Just be careful if you put it on a portable palette ... if the palette gets set on its side, the paint can slide, it is that creamy.

  • Cadmium Yellow Deep.
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Yellow Deep
Cadmium Yellow Deep. Other brands might call this color Cad Yellow Medium. Some color as mac-and-cheese. I paid $23.57 which seems high, but this brand is very good. M. Graham Artist Oil Paint. 1.25oz/37ml Tube. This photo does not exactly rep what it looks like, the actual color IN the tube is slightly more orange than what is painted ON the tube. ... show more

  • Great color
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Phthalo Green
Great color for painting ocean scenes.

  • Least likely to yellow Titanium white oil paint.
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Titanium White
It's been tested and the results are clear. M. Graham titanium white yellows the least of all the whites. Great buttery texture, too. A bit slower dying, but that's okay.

  • Good Quality
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Quinacridone Rose
Vibrant color, nice consistency - will buy this brand again.

  • Excellent Quality
Size: 7 Piece Set Color: Assorted/ Multicolor
Excellent quality and vibrant, rich colors. That they are made in the USA and ethically manufactured is a priceless bonus. Art, in my opinion, should inspire and help make the world a better place. I am willing to spend a bot more, not only because the product is of better quality, but it allows me to not taint my artwork with lesser products. Besides, I personally could not, in good conscience, create "art" with products possibly made in dubious or even forced-labor facilities. With M. Graham and Co., the products are rich in both quality and ethics. ... show more

  • Very disappointed
Size: 1.25 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Ultramarine Violet
This is the second time I have purchased a tube of M. Graham paint that turned out to be totally unusable. I have used mainly Daniel Smith and Qor paints but decided to try these because so many artists seem to like them. I realized that the honey in the paint would make a difference but not make it impossible to use. The Ultramarine Violet was like painting with a glue stick mixed with melted crayon. It was thick, streaky, and impossible to dilute. I tried hot water and using something to see if the binder had separated. No luck. It remained thick with an uneven distribution of pigment. I had to use hot water to clean my brush and, even then, it was difficult. Maybe it is just the purples because when I bought a Cobalt Violet it literally poured out of the tube and never dried on paper. The sample swatch on that one was still tacky three months later. ... show more
