As soon as this house was set up my senior cat (17) went in and rarely comes out. She really loves it. The house is fairly simple to set up (my 13 year old did it) and it is sturdy and doesnt collapse when it is put together. It is a lot larger than I expected and it is really cute. Picked this up for my 13yo chihuahua who lives with a shepherd mix who just wants to play all the time has a get away zone. She was trying to crawl into the package as I was opening it. She immediately went in and settled in….only to experience an earthquake when the other chihuahua jumped right on the roof and make the house collapse in. No one was hurt and both littles are learning to share the house. The point of my story is this is very flexible and forgiving. The roof zippers on. Don't get me wrong, it's very cute. My small dog loves to be inside a cave. The measurements are smaller than advertised and if i wasn't leaving town soon, I would return it. This needs way more structure in the bottom to keep its shape. I can't find a pet bed small enough or firm enough to fit inside. I really wanted to love this.
