My son took an interest in space and wanted a telescope for his birthday, so we bought him one. It's pretty fascinating! So fast forward to now and this is our 3rd telescope purchase for the family. Each time I've spent a bit more and have been able to upgrade to a nicer telescope. Coming from our last one with an 800mm refractor to this one with a 900mm refractor, this telescope is larger. The trade-off is that it is a more premium telescope, so everything from the build quality to the features has improved. I'll cover a few of my favorites things about it below. First off, the tripod is great - it's sets up easy and makes the telescope nice and tall so you don't have to bend over much. It's also pretty solid. Next, this telescope has a 36x-450x magnification depending on which eyepieces you use. This is a nice step up from our last one that was 32x-400x. My favorite feature by far is the fine-tune, slow-motion adjustment knobs. These are amazing as they allow you to tweak the vertical or horizontal view to lock in on your target without having to physically move the whole telescope. Coming from several previous telescopes that lack this feature, this alone was worth the upgrade. Like most telescopes this one also includes the attachments to hook your phone up to it to take photos. I tried to do this so I could post some photos of the moon but the bugs and mosquitoes were so bad I couldn't hold still long enough to get a clear photo. I upload a fussy one anyway just to show you it works. I'll update my review later with some better ones. My advice on using that attachment is to test it out indoors with the phone you plan to use and get it all ready to go indoors so all you have to do is place it on the telescope and start snapping photos. A lot of cameras have more than one lens so that can make the attachment a bit tricky to use, especially if you're trying to set it up in the dark outside. I'm very happy with this purchase. The only thing I would have liked to have seen would be a carrying bag to hold it all for easier transport and protection. Since I don't plan to haul it around it's really no big deal. ... show more

Wonderful product! I use it to look shooting star and the moon. Very clear vision. Easy to build up with the instruction manual provided. Also come with wireless remote and use phone adapter to take photos. This is my first telescope. Feel satisfaction.

I regret to say that the LUVONI Telescope has left me disappointed. Despite its promise of professional-grade astronomy, I found the performance lacking. The fine-tuning AZ tripod feels flimsy, leading to stability issues during observation. The slow-motion knobs, instead of enhancing precision, seem prone to jamming and make adjustments more frustrating than smooth. The phone adapter, a seemingly useful addition, failed to securely hold my phone in place, making astrophotography attempts a challenge. Moreover, the multi-coated high transmission feature didn't live up to expectations, as I experienced noticeable glare and reflections. Overall, this telescope fell short of delivering the quality I anticipated, and I would caution potential buyers to explore more reliable options. ... show more

The product was packed with care, Easy to use and works as advertised. The tripod seem very sturdy and high quality. I had a hard time figuring out the lenses - the instruction is not that clear,I have to use a little bit common sense and it cost me half a hour to get it assembled and it is big. I purchased this telescope for home and for the shore house. This is my third telescope, the other two are great but this one is a huge upgrade. I can’t believe how familiar I have gotten with the moon. I can locate craters by using others as landmarks. This telescope is worth every dollar and more! It’s noticeably more substantial as soon as you open the box. At the shore house we observe all sorts of birds. dolphins and the occasional whale breach in the ocean. This telescope is super easy to set up, adjust and no tools needed. It's very substantial, and not like a toy telescope for children. My 16 year old son and wife were very excited and surprised how easy it is to use. Our friends who visit find it fascinating and want to buy one for themselves after viewing. My iphone 13 fit great on the adjustable phone stand and takes incredible pictures. This is by far the best home telescope I’ve ever used. ... show more

We bought it on our camping trip. It was really easy to set up and the image quality was good. Wished there was a carrying case that came with it. Other than that, would recommend for beginners.
