  • Exceeded My Expectation
This portable sonar fish finder works very well. The value for the money is excellent! It is very easy to use. Out of the box, the default setting is on metric units (meters & Celsius for depth and water temperature). If you want imperial units (feet & Fahrenheit), just change it in the menu so that it defaults to imperial units. Using it out on the lake a second time so far, it seems to be accurate (comparing it with the a depth map that I have of the lake) and pretty good at identifying the locations of fish (I know because I felt many bites on my fishing line and had bait on the hook eaten, but no catches). Accessories (besides the floating sensor) such the USB charger cord, wall outlet adapter plug, cigarette lighter adapter, carry strap, and a small mounting bracket for mounting it on a boat or kayak. I chose to use the carry strap and not use the mounting bracket. The screen is small, but it's sufficient for my use. The graphics of the multicolor version of this fish finder are good. I like that it allows you flexibility to set it to display the raw sonar image or allow it to display fish (small, midsized, and large) locations by interpreting the sonar feedback. Out of the box, it defaults to display fish graphics on the screen (I chose to keep the default setting because I don't want the hassle of trying to interpret raw sonar images on the screen). I'm very happy with this fish finder, but admit that I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the previous reviews. My review is from a standpoint of a person who just fishes for personal enjoyment (and also for meals when I catch fish) during my free time. I'm not using this fish finder for commercial purposes and do not fish in any tournaments. ... show more

  • Pretty nice compact finder
Overall this product has been helpful and I am happy with its performance. I use it while fishing from my kayak and it has been helpful to have. The PROS: It is easy to set up, It displays depth, fish and water temperature, battery life has been great. The CONS: It is difficult to view while paddling the kayak, the cords and components are a bit unwieldy in a kayak. I fish pretty much exclusively on lakes that are 50 acres and smaller. For those bodies of water it has been very helpful to see the water temperature and depths. I am not sure how it would perform on a reservoir. ... show more

  • Does it's job and easy to use
Took this baby out for a test drive on a salt water fishing trip and i was completly satisfied with the results it is realy easy to use just plug in the sensor and place it in the water (you can cast it out but you run the risk of dislogging the stopper from the float) and watch the fish pass by so you know exactly where to cast your hook. I like that you can set the device to the size of fish as well (small, medium & large fish). The battery last for the 10hours that we were out at sea and still had charge remaining when we were done. I do recommend that you put silicone or electric tape around the seam of the device and use some dielectric greese on the connections or get yourself a waterproof case or bag to put the monitor in to reduce the risk of water getting into the monitor. Overall it is a good fish finder, easy to use, long battery life and the price is not bad either. ... show more

  • An Excellent Little Sonar
I use my Lucky brand sonar for locating fish beneath the docks and piers within the harbors where I live. I’m tickled with the performance and the simplicity of this device. I think the brand has tapped into something special by offering a product that works almost as well as and costs a fraction of the price the old familiar competitors’ brands charge. I’m not saying that the familiar brands’ products don’t perform- they do and they do it well. What I’m delighted to say is that this easy-to-use and relatively inexpensive sonar does its job accurately. However, this thing has a reputation for being very hydrophobic (which is both unfortunate and weird considering its purpose) and I’ve taken it upon myself to not take chances so I keep mine in a Zip-Loc bag. The point is, for the price you’ll pay this sonar works great and if you take good care of it and take the time to learn its functions and settings you too will be as happy as I am with your purchase. ... show more

  • Transducer quit working: cheap quality not worth your money!
Purchased in April of 2022, used sparingly. All of a sudden spring and summer of 2024 transducer stops working(no depth or temp readings). Toggle between transducer or simulation mode, or power on/off and it will work for a short time (1-5 minutes) sporadically before not registering depth or temperature again. This product worked okay for awhile but at 2 years.. maybe 10-15 uses and stored indoors between uses it’s basically garbage. Not worth the money! ... show more

  • Looks great came with a cut cord!
I was excited to get this for my kayak, get it out of the box and go through the simulation on the device and the setup which was pretty cool and looks like it's going to be very helpful. But then I go to grab the sensor cord that goes to the water and the court is literally cut and half at one point on the wire I will update with pictures I am very disappointed and kind of upset about this. They say they are sending me a replacement and I need to send them this one back so I will do another review once I get the replacement actually get to use this device ... show more

  • It’s amazing!
I have a small 12’ rowboat with only a trolling motor on it. This fish finder is perfect for my needs. I drop the sonar with the float off the back if my boat and tie it off. I hung the finder around my neck. As soon as it started beeping I saw the fish and anchored there. I caught fish!!!! Without this fish finder I wasn’t catching any. It’s an awesome unit! ... show more
