    • Not as durable as an all-metal item
As a beginner, I bought this after trying the "donut" variety, which I don't recommend. This worked fine, until I noticed the slide had cracked on one side. Not sure how insecure this will make the product, but I would prefer a metal fixture there. Perhaps it was stress, perhaps I stepped on it, I really don't know. But I'll look for, and buy, a more durable one if this one completely fails. ... show more

    • What happened to Quality?
The very first time I used the strap, I stepped on it over carpeting and the plastic cracked all the way through. Unbelievable! I've had others that were indestructible and lasted many, many years. Piece of crap. What happened to "Quality"?

    • Essential Tool if you have wood or tile floors!
I used to practice on a braided rug in the living room, so I didn't have any problems with my endpin. When I moved to an unused upstairs bedroom with wood floor, It kept sliding. I didn't want to poke the point into the wood, so ordered this item. It works fine. It even works with a rolling office chair. It did take some time to get the length adjustment set up so my cello would be at the right height and angle. Now it helps me to make sure I'm sitting and holding the cello correctly. I know some people that play using one of those wide piano benches. This would probably not have enough adjustment for the "D" ring to be under a leg and still extend out far enough for a taller person. I'm 5'10" so it works good for me. ... show more
