For as long as I can remember, putting fluid in the lower unit was a pain. Trying to screw in the adapter would have the tubing come off the pump and spill the fluid on the floor. This swivel adapter completely eliminated the problem.

    • Really useful but it leaks

This leaks gear lube. It's not a lot of lube, but it is more like six or seven tablespoons for a quart of lube. Messy. Still, it is very, very useful. I no longer have to squeeze or pump lube into the lower unit. I use this adapter, some tubing, and quart of lube to fill the lower unit. Just hang the quart of lube upside down at a point higher than the upper vent of the lower unit. It will fill itself through the bottom fill hole. You will need to put a small hole in the bottom of the lube bottle to vent air in as the lower unit fills. Very useful little item. ... show more
